Olympus Beachfront Apartments

The location is great - pretty much right on the beach and handy to shops, cafes, bars etc

No - all was good and we would definitely stay again and recommend to others

The apartment was very comfortable. Decent sized bed and lounge chairs.

Unfortunately the floor was definitely not cleaned properly. I was walking on it bare foot and it was sticky and my feet went black. I ended up mopping the floor twice to improve this. At night there were drunk or drugged people on the esplanade screaming and into fights which woke me up.

The apartments are fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including a kitchen with a stove, oven, and utensils perfect for self-catering. The location is very convenient: just across the road from the beach and a 5–10 minute walk to restaurants and shops in Surfers Paradise. Upper-floor apartments offer a lovely ocean view from the balcony, while lower-floor units may have their view partially blocked by trees. Being slightly away from the busy center also means less noise from evening crowds. Check-in was flexible: I arrived at 9 a.m. to drop off my luggage and was allowed to return at 11:30 a.m. for early check-in instead of the usual 2:00 p.m.

There is no free Wi-Fi, although it is possible to connect to the public city network from the balcony. A security deposit of AUD 300 is frozen for the duration of the stay. The building is a bit old and could benefit from some updates, and depending on your apartment’s position, there may be some noise from the road.

I liked the view from the balcony of the sea views

The bathroom was not clean the fan air vent was exposed and thick of dust. I become sick with the flu. The bedroom carpet was sticky when walking on it like acholol had been spelt on it. When not wearing shoes walking on white floors in lounge black feet you go. Not clean but amazing. In ICU unit hospital fighting for my life as caught some virus in gold coast still here 22 days. Would not recommend staying there is you are elderly and have health issues.

Everything was great. Location. Views. The higher floor apartments are very well floor planned and super comfy. Its not your new fancy features hotel. Good ole 80s. But it's comfy,with best views and brah right in front. I come to GC for 25 years now and stayed in variety of places. This one takes the cake for value /quality ratio. Can't beat that

Amazing. The unit was spacious and the view is something you can’t beat. We saw dolphins swimming along the surfers in the morning it was beyond beautiful.

Best location, great pool, good undercover parking. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was small but worked OK.

This is an older property, had issues with the stove, and staff listened to the problem. All windows were very dirty, not surprising because of the surf location. We cleaned the front windows ourselves on arrival, but the side windows had no access.

Location is excellent. Close to Surfers Paradise and the view out from the balcony was wonderful.

It needs to have extra blanket available. A thin quilt was not sufficient.

Apartment was old and dated. The floor was filthy and not acceptable for our toddler to crawl/walk around on. Kind staff did arrange an additional clean but it was hard to get past the first impression. We would not use the dishwasher or in room laundry facilities as they were old, in poor repair and again felt unclean. Bed was uncomfortable with roll together. We had family staying at another property and chose to spend our days with them in preference to staying in this apartment.

Excellent location. Short walk to restaurants, shops. Beach across the road. Lively ocean views even from inside ( sitting on the couch). Reception staff polite .

Quiet a bit of traffic noise from the road. Being winter time we could have done with another blanket at night.

The best thing about this apartment is the location. You can't get any closer to the beach. And it's within walking distance to the shopping area, walking distance to the tram station. When we arrived we didn't know about the public transportation, so we took a taxi, and it cost like $90. When we left, we just took the tram+bus, and it was only $1.50 for 3 people. It was a good size apartment with everything we needed, like washer and dryer, a nice kitchen. Overall, good value for money. I would recommend.

I was a bit disappointed at first because we were on the 2nd floor, and our balcony view was partially obstructed by trees. I would've liked to have a room that's on a higher floor. I was surprised with the strict checkout time of 10am. That's really early. At least we could keep our luggage there until 5pm.

Visa holds placed against your Visa card. They say they don’t deduct the money but the money is deducted therefore you’re out of pocket until the Visa hold comes off and then you have to wait for your bank provider to process credit, which can take up to 5-7 days to get your money back.If you stay at various apartments etc whilst on holiday, you can end up with $1000+ on Visa holds.

Last night of my holiday, had a neighbour being disruptive all night and into the morning with her yelling and swearing to anybody walking past..kept at it till at least 3am and about to tell her off but partner didn't want me to cause any trouble

Old. Building needs an upgrade. No air conditioner in the bedroom.

The apartments were in a great location close walk to cavill ave and the night markets. Very clean and large area for a couple. We loved our stay!

Location is always superb. Management changed a few years ago and addressed and resolved the many issues that plagued the smooth running of things. Now, it's a pleasure staying there. Staff is exceedingly helpful.

There were loud drilling noises sometimes and it's because some of the apartments are being renovated. But, it's tolerable because there are so much more positives.
