Unfortunately, there was nothing positive about this stay. The location itself could have been acceptable, but the overall experience was completely overshadowed by serious hygiene, safety, and management issues.

The accommodation was in unacceptable condition and did not meet even basic hygiene or safety standards. The room and shared areas were dirty upon arrival, including the bathroom and kitchen. Heating was insufficient, and despite repeated requests, the issue was not properly resolved.The management was unresponsive and failed to take responsibility. I was forced to leave the property early due to health and safety concerns.The property description on Booking.com does not reflect the real condition of the accommodation, which I consider misleading. I had to find alternative accommodation at my own expense.

Accommodation perfectly meets my expectations. It is cosy, quiet and clean. It has everything I need to have a base for hiking tours in the wonderful area.

Cheap accommodation in a great location. It's quite basic. Though I have been here twice and it's great value for money in a perfect location for getting out walking.

The kitchen could be a little better equipped and the pillow on the bed much improved.

One of the few places on the island that didn't want to make a big deal about someone arriving late in the day. Knowing I could get in at any point made the flight, car hire and driving so much less stressful. After that, it was great to find it was also above the cloud line and a great place to start hiking from. The instructions were clear and the host attentive. I've stayed in traditional Canary style properties before but this one was well set-up and I had a good night's sleep. I also like the period furnishings; good quality and part of the culture instead of mindless consumerism. Upgrades have been made where convenient such as my room having 4 sockets in it and 1 right next to the bed.

I was upgraded to the apartment instead of the room. The apartment was excellent - I was staying for one night but this could be a holiday home for a week! Truly nice experience, especially after a long day of hiking. The logistics were extremely simple and the apartment was located right on the GR 131 hiking trail. There are also many other local hiking trails in the surrounding area and Vilaflor town itself seems lovely as well.

Great location especially if you got a car, 50 minutes if that to Teide and 50 minutes to the beach.It's got everything you need especially for the price.Went at Christmas so bit cold at night other than that, great hiking 30 seconds down the road and 800 tree to see, it's massive only 10 minutes walk to see it.

Oven didn't work when I was there, wish i knew in advance as i got a pizza but I should of tested everything when I got in so it's my fault.

No heating, really cold in winter!

It was cold, no heater in the bedroom. The wardrobe and dresser had all the handles removed so could not open therefore unable to use.

The person who manages their WhatsApp is nice and the cleaning team (Gloria especially) are very kind. When something was discovered broken in a different hostel owned by the same man, I was impressed that they fixed it on the same day.

The smell was intolerable. I am not one to complain but DO NOT STAY HERE if they haven’t fixed the small. It was like old cheese mixed with a bodily infection mixed with something dead and it filled every space in the hostel. I slept for a nap in the day when I arrived with my room window open to see if i could remove the smell as it was less in my room but I couldn’t. It was also wayyy too cold to leave the window open for too long in Vilaflor as very high altitude. I was so ill after smelling that for two hours I left.Please hope this was a one off. If not addressed by the management, or you see smell mentioned in other reviews, do not stay.

The accommodation is very spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. We really liked the possibility to use the terrace with nice view. We would definitely stay again.

Great location in the heart of Vilaflor, a very lovely highest mountain village in Spain, it is a flat with 4 rooms and a shared bathroom and kitchen, yes it is old but I liked it very much and quirky, it was clean and well equipped ,as a solo female traveler I felt very safe and comfortable in my private room, I loved evenings on the terrace , the other guests were very considerate, simple people wanting to reconnect with nature, nothing was unpleasant. The price is a bargain, all the negative things mentioned by others can also happen in very expensive hotels.

It is a very well established fact that all flats and houses in Spain are covered in tiles because of the heat, so it will always be a little echo noise, for me this is part of the spanish charm , it is not disturbing, also the darkness is common to keep the heat out, and the lighting is energy saving which I totally agree .For this price, I am grateful that simple no fuss places like Alma exist in such amazing locations. I would love to go back!

Our laptop disappeared from the room. They couldn't locate it. They admitted that many things get stolen.

Location was good, that was about it.

The bed has bugs, i had rashes for days after staying here. The decor and furnishing is very dated.Not recommendable!!

It was relatively inexpensive. Also It was easy to get to the room. It was quiet and peaceful place. I found hiking trail nearby and loved to do hiking. Beautiful rooftop views.

It felt like facilities needed renovation. Almost everything had wear and tear. For example door of one toilet was hard to lock and unlock. Another toilet barely worked at all. Vilaflor itself is very small and not much to see or do there.

Elena is a great host. She has helped us immediately. With pretty much every question that we had. The terrace has a wounderful view not only on a beautiful Vilaflor, but even a free perspective on Atlatic Ocean! Since I`m leading an astrophotography fotoworkshops on Teneriffa, it was important for me personally to have a kitchen. So that I can sleep the whole day and cook whenever I prefere. Alma is very nice place to stay: nice room with a good bed, fast internet, clean, the kitchen has everything necessary. The terrace is amazing, what a view.

There's some wrong information in Booking, they don't accept credit card, only cash. The room was very cold, no radiator or heater fan so the room was like fridge.
