the elevator is tiny, but it does get you up there

The location, comfortable rooms, accept pets, nice decoration, decent breakfast

The bistrot was a bit disappointing. The clams were good, but the T-bone was over-cooked and the veal came cold. Little attention was given and the veal was heated up in the microwave.

Friendly, helpful staff. Intimate feel to the hotel. Restaurant very good . Excellent value for money.

Appears newly renovated with charming decor blending new with historic. Staff was super friendly and lovely. Food was excellent and despite being downtown, my stay was quiet.

Parking. It’s always the parking when downtown by the garage was close by and reasonably priced.

Carpet floor, no slippers. Quite dirty if u have to walk on barefoot and get into your bed. Aircon didnt function so well. Quite humid in the room.

Chalon isnt the most beautiful town!

Nice building, very good restaurant

There was a lot of noise in the hall and we could here it all in the room. The room of the kids was very cold. The breakfast was poor: the hot water was cold (I could not even make a cup of tea!), there was only one person to help people with both breakfast and check-out.

Breakfast was lovely, the staff were friendly and the room was very spacious and quiet.

Everything, the hotel was really well located for us with secure private parking, clean, comfortable and the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Well located hotel in old Chalon-sur-Saône. Comfortable bed, large room, surprisingly quiet. Helpful team, parking nearby for €12.

The hotel is charming and quite centrally located, and the nearby parking that could be booked was very handy. The breakfast was rich and included a wide choice of sweet and savoury options. Staff was helpful and friendly.

The room was quite small, as to be expected for a city hotel. However, it could have been furbished more comfortably. For instance, instead of a closet, there was just a slim shelf, which may do for a day or two, but not for a full-week stay. The shower was leaking and inundated the small bathroom each time we used it.

Check in went smoothly. Bar and restaurant areas are good.

Room was disappointing. The room had been pre-paid but the hotel said they had no record of this and charged me again. When I questioned this they claimed Booking.com and the hotel are two separate systems so the payment was not visible. This is very bad practice.

Location, close to the town center.

When we entered our room there was a flight of stairs in the room, some ceiling tiles were on missing and in bathroom a wall panel was missing, exposing concrete, moldy towels and plumbing. Maybe they were doing some plumbing work and forgot about it? We went back to the lobby to tell them and get it fixed. Not a big deal, right? Well, a grumpy receptionist was not very motivated to get it fixed: “It’s not my job”. After explaining that it was also not my job as a guest to fix this, he went away. When we got back to our room the flight of stair were gone and some (not all) panels were fixed.
