Pros +
- Quiet location, clean and comfortable. A fan was provided which was greatly appreciated.
- The building and the location are great. The staff is really kind, helpful and professional. The room was nice, but we were in the attic so we had to pay attention to not knock our heads on the ceiling. Also the toilet is really closed to the wall so it's not quite comfortable. Breakfast is good, all the basics are there and the quality is very good.
- It's an old historical building that is very charming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were traveling with a couple 80+ of age and they were given an appropriate room for their needs. We really appreciate this.Breakfast, that was charged extra, was plentiful and great. Try the locally made yoghurts and the jams! Don't miss the market on Saturday morning just next to the hotel.Plenty of parking spaces available - if all are taken in front of the hotel, there is free parking just across the street.
Cons -
- We were promised a room with a view of both the courtyard and the street, but were assigned a room in the back with only a view of the park across the street.. We were hoping for the cross ventilation of air that the double view rooms provide.
- We were disappointed by the restaurant: the dishes are very simple and I would just say they are OK. But since the prices are quite expansive, the experience is not very good.
- Just some minor issues: I personally didn't find the pillows that comfortable. It's always good to bring your own anyway. There is a USB outlet built into the lamps at the beds but to make it work, a little blue light indicator needs to be on. If one feels bothered by the emitting light at night and turns it off, the hooked-up devices cannot be charged. In our rooms there were no electrical outlets near the bed and we had to charge our devices near the TV. You may want to bring an extension cord to solve this problem.

Staff excellent, very friendly and helpful.Rooms clean and perfect for a short stay.
Excellent location, staff were very good. Great room layout and very clean. Parking is public but outside hotel. Pool are looked really good whilst not used by us and restaurant look good.
Room was noisy from other guests, echos through the hallway and could hear next doors noise. The bar shuts at 9pm and then they look it and asked to leave, should stay open later like the restaurant.
The hotel is lovely, quiet and quaint, authentic and beautifully remade. We were a group of families travelling with many kids - I would say the hotel is better suited for older couples, less for young kids. There was a problem with the pool, but thankfully it was solved before checkout so we got to enjoy it for a few hours before we left. If I am to return to the area without the kids - I would love to come to the hotel again.
staff were very friendly and the room had a lovely view of the garden and pool, breakfast was delicious
Clean. Comfortable beds. Lovely pool. Friendly and polite staff.
Dinner and breakfast. Location in centre of scenic town.
Swimming pool was not accessible when we arrived. Quickly repareren, next day open.
The room was well furnished and clean. The restaurant served a good choice from the menu and the head waiter took time to explain the choices. All the hotel staff were very helpful. Now in new ownership since our last visits and we can already see changes for the better.
Limited parking in front of the hotel but more than adequate parking just a few metres away in the general car park.
Beautiful building and nice atmosphere
Beautiful place and all could be brilliant. A experience is much how the staff is doing its job. Few observations is how to guide people arriving late. Give advice or try to provide water/drinks for late arrivals on a Sunday evening. Even a snack. It’s not much to ask to a hotel have this in place. And we arrived 8 p m so not even late.
Super comfortable bed; super shower and spotlessly clean!
Nothing - it was perfect
Nicely decorated, very helpful and friendly staff.
We arrived on a very hot day, so indeed, without an air conditioner in the room it can feel hot.
Restaurant Food was good but expensive. The staff on arrival were excellent
No air conditioning. Room was small for the price. We were charged for dessert on the menu which we did not have !
Lovely older hotel in town with a wonderful staff and excellent restaurant. Close to everything and staff were super friendly. Very comfortable beds.
Rooms were a bit small but we were very comfortable
Large rooms with windows overlooking garden, comfortable bed, extra large in Room 10, extra large bathroom, attractive reception bar area and breakfast room. Outside large terrace with swimming pool. In the centre of town and very helpful receptionist. Secure parking with a lift down to parking area. Excellent breakfast.
Town centre location and closeness to the main restaurants.
Car parking was very limited and the building as a whole needs a modernising makeover. Too dated in many aspects.
Staff were helpful
The breakfast was limited and insufficient quantities were put out. The single member of staff had to operate reception and provide breakfast, so people were waiting. We did nit think our stay was good value for money.
Great property, character and location
Staff all left a 8pm, bar and kitchen closed. Paid extra for breakfast.
The room was very nice. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast with good choices. The breakfast room had an interesting history. Overall I liked it very much.
No dinner option, and on a Sunday, it is always a challenge to find an open restaurant. Options were only a 2-star Michelin across the street, a Kebab hole-in-the-wall option and a Pizza restaurant. There was no middle ground. We opted for the Pizza and food was great. Coming back to the hotel for a last glass of wine, and the hotel bar was closed already.
