    • We had a great stay here. Esther, Joseph, Jacklyn, Zablon, Chris, and the rest of the team were wonderful. Everyone was
    • The staff was very nice especially the guide Victor was the best. Very nice Safari.
    • Location is quite close to both Manyani and Voi gates. Great breakfast and fantastic coffee! Good internet. Friendly staff! Thank you!

    Cons -

    • Miscommunication between the manager and people staying there. The price of the food was far too high for the portion you get and the quality. The manager was also disrespectful to my girlfriend. The manager also didn't want that we tipp the stuff. Take care ask for everything what the price is because he won't tell you when you don't ask.
    • Maybe a little bit more expensive compared to similar camps in Voi area. A bit of off-roading required to reach the camp.
    • The game drive was quite disappointing. I did not have a guide, just a driver who spoke barely any English (but was very nice). This was due in part to unfortunate circumstances but also due to a lack of foresight. For $180, I expected more reliable organization.I did get a small refund, a meal on the house and a free walk around the area with Victor, the tour guide, which was very nice. I appreciate these gestures but the experience still left me with a somewhat bad feeling in hindsight. The food varies in quality. Some dishes were quite tasty, others rather bland. The picnic lunch for the game drive was mainly dry carbs.

The staff and manager were very friendly and attentive.Victor, the tour guide, ranger by training, was very knowledgeable and it would have been great to have him on the game drive.

Optimal option for self drivers entering Tsavo East through the Voi gate. Don’t expect an opulent luxury but a great hospitality, food and very affordable. It’s a community project. The chalets are simple but clean and comfortable. Mosquitos net provided.

The lodge had a nice garden. The food and staff service related to food was good. The location has potential but seems underutilized. The bed was comfortable and the room was sufficiently spacious.

There was unclarity/confusion about transport (i.e per person charges) and other service prices. It might be a good idea for the lodge to set fixed prices and display them at the reception. The rooms were basic, and not entirely eco friendly. The cistern leaks and the shower isn't fully functional. The electricity goes out in the early mornings as the lodge depends on solar power. While this isn't the fault of the lodge, some clear communication on the times and adding an emergency flashlight to the rooms maybe helpful.

Very goog hospitality and good food. Surroundings are very good for birdwatching.

No refill of bottles available so many plastic bottles are used. It is a point to improve, surely as "Eco Lodge".+

The food is excellent! Hats off to the chef. The staff are all very friendly and honest. I left my kindly in the room when checking out, I called the next day and found that it was secure and at the reception waiting to be picked up.

Rooms are very underwhelming, poorly furnished and not much of a view

The location is beautiful. When the sky is clear there is an amazing view of the stars. That's about it. The breakfast wasn't too bad.

Esther, the lady at the reception, isn't honest. Not helpful at all. We've had contact before about the safaris. She agreed we could do 2 half day safaris to tsavo West a fixed price. Once arriving she still confirmed the safari. The driver showed up and he told us we can't go there. Too far so we went to east (which is a cheaper tour). She charged us the price for tsavo West. She admit she made a mistake but she did not want to fix it. eventually she cancelled our 2nd safari. The food is terrible except the soups. She did not explain it was an entire menu for way too much money (not worth it).The room is basic but clean. Just a very strange feeling in the room like it's haunted or something. We were happy we could leave in the morning. I would not advise to stay here!!

Great staff and calm atmosphere. Lovely food and arranged a good safari in the park. Nick, Esther and all the team very pleasant to be around.

Can't think of anything. Maybe the drinks were a bit pricey but it's quite remote so that's understandable

We really enjoyed our stay at the Eco Lodge, particularly all the freshly cooked food from the locally grown fruit & veg. The chef also prepared a special dinner for us with ugali. We also booked day trips to Tsavo East and West with them - both long days but with plenty of animals, including birds, to see. We had a very friendly driver (Robert) and the lunch pack was genorouse (one pack would have been enough for the two of us).The rooms are basic but very clean and in a lovely green surrounding.

The padlock at the room is a bit difficult to handle.

    Passable

Too far from the road. That was not clearly indicated before booking. Power is on and off. I believe guest should be informed about that before booking.

    Its peaceful.

My recent stay at the eco-lodge was extremely disappointing and frustrating. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the lodge was not up to standard. Our room was not properly cleaned and infested with bugs, which was a terrible start to our stay. Instead of addressing the issue immediately, the manager, who was not even present during check-in, try to blamed us for the bugs in the room. After explaining that we had just checked in, he sent someone to clean, but the job was done poorly, and I had to kill and clean the remaining bugs myself. To make matters worse, there was no power during the two nights (we decided to leave early and not to stay our third night). The lodge's generator is very small and only runs at the beginning of the night and in the morning. This meant that the nights were hot and uncomfortable as we couldn't even use the fan without electricity. The buffet dinner was overpriced. Additionally, the manager overcharged us by more than 75% for a guide to go with us to Tsavo East. He stayed with most of the money and paid very little to the guide, which was completely unacceptable and unfair.Overall, our experience at the eco-lodge was far from pleasant. The lack of cleanliness, poor management, and inadequate facilities made our stay uncomfortable and frustrating. I would not recommend this lodge to anyone.

We had a great stay at Tausa Tsavo. The location is great, not just between the two Tsavo parks and the lovely Taita Hills, but also the specific area of the lodge. We enjoyed walking around the country side. The lodge is small and cosy, and the staff are great. The gardens are nice. As an eco-lodge takes care of its resource footprint, but nevertheless we had all we needed.

In nature with nice staff and cosy bar. I forgot my charger but they brought it to the main road for me to pick it up later. Very kind people.

A wonderful place especially for game drive safari to Tsavo West and East national parksComfortable beds, very delicious food, friendly staff in a cool environment.

    Food is a bit expensive

Convenient stop nr Voi en route to the coast. very impressive redevelopment of a bare patch of land in two years with trees and crops. large airy mess building. Bandas were adequate and comfortable. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant.

Bathroom was fine but needs some shelves to put your things.

    8LudovicPosted on: 12-19-2024

It is disconnected from the rest of the town, making it a tranquil place to relax. Enjoy tranquility with my family and definitely on our booking list for next year.

The food was very good, except for the price. the idea of buffet style is very good but the choice needs to be a little more if they charge that price. but what we had was good, greetings to the chef.

It was such a memorable day!The lodge is clean and you have everything you need. Oh, and the food was always fresh and delicious during our stay! Highly recommended! Asante sana!
