Hôtel-Restaurant La Belle Poule -

Good Location for us driving from San Sebastian back to the channel ports. Friendly staff good restaurant, enjoyed the evening meal we ate there. The room had everything we needed was quiet the beds were comfortable and the shower hot, with good pressure. Only a one night stop over, so a limited exposure to the facilities; we didn't have breakfast in the morning as we wanted to look around La Rochelle before setting off.

If I had to be picky I would say the hotel wing and room we were allocated was a little tired. Perfectly clean and freshly painted but the underlying structure is showing its age.

The bed was clean and comfortable

No one made us aware the restaurant was closed on a Sunday so driving 5 hrs had to go and find food. Cobwebs in room advertised hot breakfast was inedible really dissatisfied with the whole experience I can provide photos if required

It was quite We had dinner in the restaurant. It was an amazing meal. Highly recommend it.

It was along way from the city. We traveled there by bike

The restaurant meal was excellent. There was plenty of parking and the hotel was conveniently situated to locate.The bed was comfortable

We booked a room with garden view and actually looked out on the cat park and main roads. The room smelt of cigarettes and mould and the curtains did not fully draw. The soap dispenser was too high to use at the sink easily and very difficult to access.

there was more than enough to eat, it was perfect except the advertised full english breakfast, it isnt a full english, the rest was nothing short of excellent ,Evening meal was excellent too

The only downside is the distance from town but taxi was easy enough to get

Decor in bedrooms dated but all clean

Only stayed there a night on my way to Toulouse. It's a typical basic hotel with a decent and clean bedroom and bathroom. It also has a restaurant but didn't use it so can't judge the kitchen.

Not for myself but the door can be a bit heavy to open with the knob that's attached to it, especially for older people with artritis.

Staff were very helpful on arrival as we we were travelling on our cycles.Rooms were clean and good size.Enjoyed the buffet breakfast.

Quiet location

Had trouble getting to the property as Rochefort was closed for a charity run. Restaurant was closed, we were not told, could not go in to town see above. No aircon window open bitten by mosquitoes 17 times most uncomfortable!

Location close to transbordeur and bicycle netwerk velodysee

Needs renovation

A lovely place to stay. Near beach and towns. There is a garden and a good restaurant

It will need to be renovated one day in the not too distant future

The environment and the space in the different rooms are great, plus the restaurant is a great choice for trying nice and vibrant cuisine!

the amenities in the bedroom are quiet old , plus no isolation no soondproofing wallsthe breakfast is too simple

The room was small and the bathroomtiny. Breakfast was not anything like as good as dinner.
