Heritage Palace Varos - MAG Quaint And Elegant Boutique Hotels

It was in a good location. Parking is a problem so if arriving in a taxi late at night a bit of a walk from where they are allowed to drop you off.

The stairs are so steep.

Good location - walking distance to the main tourist beach veranda. Very helpful and accommodating staff. Spacious room. Elegant room and bathroom.

Refrigerator wasn't working properly and asked the staff to take a look at it/fix it, but they never did for the three nights we stayed there.

The hotel manager Nina was exceptional - very very helpful - nothing too much trouble

The noise from the room above especially if the guests were checking out at 5am. or 6am. It is noisy. Suggest they put some rugs on the upstairs floors to reduce the noise.

Basement room very dark and musty smell beds quite hard

Location and nothing else

Cleanliness, service, value for money, noise (from other rooms). Everything was very half hearted - only one of the reception staff seemed interested. Cleaning was a nightmare and one day had not been done at 4pm. Towels were poor quality and sometimes not changed. We could hear everything from room above and every time someone walked passed or above the door to our room shook. It is expensive for what it offers and is not a boutique hotel. It is not good enough to call itself that.

They need to pay attention for the cleaning service , the bed sheets were really dirty & there was a huge spider web in the room

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and spotless, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the area. Overall, everything was excellent. Highly recommended!

Quaintly elegant

Big issue: waiting for our plane at Heathrow got a message from the hotel that they would not take a credit card. Much too late to be saying that. Could not magic cash. Embarrassing. So, after an extensive exchange of messages, they said they could borrow a machine from a sister hotel.They also said that the taxi we booked would not find them but that they could offer a viable alternative which would. Again, they should understand that this was much too late in the day. Our booked taxi worked well.All of this argy bargy so close to the wire really screwed the mood.

Location, size of room.

It was advertised as private wing, but in reality it was a basement with paper thin ceilings so we could hear every word and every movement of the guests in the floors above us making the room intolerable and therefore worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Plus it was pitched as luxury accommodation when in reality the room was very basic, it was a ‘cash only’ establishment and TV was practically useless as only one channel we could watch in English Language. We had high hopes for this property but they were dashed completely :-(

The staff was very helpful, location was convenient.

Breakfast not included in booking which had not be clearly stated in booking. Having a table in the room would have made it more comfortable as well as more space for clothes.

Beautiful decor, good location.

No bar, no lift and room small with not much storage. Asked to pay full amount in cash although they agreed to accept credit card when we complained.

Cash on arrival was the only payment method allowed. I don’t think that was clear on the booking it just said pay at hotel. Our room was located on the lower floor across the street from the lobby. The room itself was fine, it was clean, bed was comfortable but the smell of damp was overwhelming. I had to sleep with the very tiny window open and a T-shirt over my face and half way through the night I had to get up and open the door to the outside to try and get some fresh air in there. We probably just got a bad room, the photos of the place look great but I wouldn’t stay again. The place appeared almost deserted.

The room had a lovely decoration. The hotel is very beautiful, the location is very nice because is inside the old town but very close to arrive with the luggage by car (short walk).

Our room was on a basement under de terrace. We could not open the window because was too close of the outside tables. We missed to open the window.

Small window wide open did not helped. Impossible to sleep in such a strong unpleasant smell. Bathroom door wasn’t closing either. Booked for two people and got one pillow only.

Safety issues mean we could not recommend it.

The stairs to the rooms were very unsafe and this was not described on the description of the property. No handrails for very steep stairs. This made circumnavigating the stairs treacherous.

-could not pay with credit card, due to operational issues, changing banks, but they didn’t inform us on that in advance -window in bathroom no curtains and anyone could see in side-bed not so comfortable -bad bed linnen and misaligned linnen in length -shower-TV limited channels -mid range internet strength

wasn't told at breakfast to go and get our own coffee and wasn't asked what we wanted to eat - just got brought out to us (silly considering one of us is vegetarian and had meat served with his breakie).

Free coffee in the morning, helpful staff, perfect location.
