Hyatt Place Macae

This hotel is slowly improving and each year gets a little better. Management should be congratulated on superb customer focus and service. This year outstanding.

Sadly breakfast is still the problem at the hotel - the inability over Christmas to serve breakfast is a big minus. Third year running the same problem in that the breakfast kitchen is de facto closed so you are down to fruit and mass produced scrambled eggs.

We would highly recommend the Hyatt Place in Macae which we stayed in for 6 nights over New Year 2024/25. The hotel is in a great location facing the sea, the rooms are large and comfortable and the food is as good if not better than we have had in any hotel. However the highest compliment must go to the staff. They are probably the friendliest and most helpful team you will find anywhere. Thanks to them for making our stay in Macae a memorable one. We will be back.

Excellent location, excellent accommodation , parking area, services in general , clean towels, etc and breakfast!

The only things I didn’t like much were the old cushions at the furniture in the swimming pool area and the glass walls around the swimming pool , that could be cleaned more often. The dirt made it difficult to see the wonderful view of the open ocean just in front of us, but that’s all. Otherwise , this hotel is a great choice and I intend to go back there!

Restaurante Staff

The beds are truly comfortable, the sheets and towels super clean. A rare thing in Brazil. Reception staff member Diorgiensis needs to be congratulated for sorting out a dentist for me during Christmas - no easy task.

I would call their Christmas fare 'economic' to say the least. Breakfast probably among the most unimaginative and disappointing although excellent coffee served hot.

the rooms are very confortable, with exception the fridge is not filled with any beverage.Beds are not so confortable as well, and the air conditioning very noisy

for our surprise, the fridge at the rooms, which are not cheap for the kind of hotel are not filled, so anything you need for beverage or even a chocolate, you need to get down stairs, to pickup at the bar.this is very uncomfortable scenario , for this kind of hotel, that you contract speccing for full service... was a very disappointing experience

The staff is great and the breakfast spread good. All in all it is a nice place to relax if you are looking for a place away from the crowds but still accessible to the popular joints.

The location is away from all the major restaurants so you need to do a bit of walking.

Friendliness and view!

The shower in two of the three rooms rented were not getting warm, fridge was not cold enough to keep drinks cool, we took 40min to check in, only two shower towels offered in each room when renting a room for two adults and children, breakfast was ok but coffee was watery (no coffee taste at all)!!! The rooftop is not what you show on the pictures!!!
