We were able to check in early as requested. Our room was spacious and clean. Free wifi. Breakfast was included and staff were friendly. Coffee was excellent.

We had 2 beds pushed together to form a double and one was very worn in and squeaked at every turn. When asking at reception if they could supply a 2 prong, round, plug they said we needed to go and buy one & couldn't assist. Fortunately we came right quite easily to buy one around the corner.

When I booked the suit I didn't expect a big room and I have to say, the room was big. The little tea area was amazing and accommodating. The room has so much storage. In the room it's super quiet and you get to enjoy your own space. The water for showering and bathing are hot and appreciated. Whenever I would get nervous I would sit under the cold air conditioner and calm myself down

The first thing that made me uncomfortable was the toilet floor. As much as water dripping on the floor after showering having a mop in the bathroom could really help, as much as I enjoyed myself, I had a fear of standing on that bathroom floor, btw it's room 16. Secondly, the amount of ports to plug in the room are less. If they could have more plugs it would be appreciated. Thirdly, the TV lacked channels and compared to nowadays hotels, you get to enjoy Netflix and other streaming services but there, the was 3 or 4 dstv channels. The chairs were comfortable but one in particular was not make sure, the chair you use for the mirror is quite uncomfortable. The air conditioner only blows cold air which made me question myself. Lastly, I feel it's unnecessary to mention but the noise in the bathroom kinda scared me but it's part of the bathroom as it extinguishes the smell of the bathroom out of the hotel. But overall for its location the place was amazing

Enjoyed my stay and the facilities offered including breakfast. Spa in the hotel which was a nice extra and restaurant with meals good value for money

While generally quiet..At times a little noisy appeared work being done on the level of rooms.

Breakfast was good, hearty portioned and very good service.The location was excellent, accessable and secure. Our room was pleasantly and well furnished, beautiful spacious bathroom.

Was not happy with the double bed in Suite 9, somewhat sagging in the middle, causing discomfort for 2 people sleeping.

Staff are really super friendly. Old but has a lot of charm.

Bed broken and very uncomfortable. Instant coffee and kettle in room but no milk. TV has very limited channels and bad picture quality. Function downstairs in hotel very very noisy.

The location, aesthetic and vintage furniture.

The cigarette smell. The facility could use a diffuser.

Very disappointed. When we book in they confirmed breakfast will be serve at 7am. We had to leave without breakfast as the department responsible for that did not even show up for work by 7:30. I had to still pay for breakfast.

Perfect location, loved the wine cellar, the history and the decor

Breakfast was on point. Staff friendly. Love the fee land the look of the hotel bringing history alive. The adjoining restaurant and bar is a great ad on.

The adjoining restaurant staff is very friendly, but they are slow (newly re-opened and I think they are learning the ropes). Food and drink need a little upgrade.

Staff was late on our arrival. Spa was not on time and were not prepared. My husband suffered some foot pain during his massage as the bed was not up to standard

Breakfast was good!

I stayed at this hotel many times before and were very happy. Not sure what went wrong since my last visit: Very old and uncomfortable mattresses'. Remote control for aircon was replaced 3 x times. I booked for two nights but checked out after the first night.

Breakfast was very nice as well as the staff and the waiter.

It was very loud downstares. We did not eat at the restaurant although we wanted to eat there. It was too noisy

We had a wonderful stay! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience warm and personal. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, which we appreciated. While the hotel is on the older side, it has a charm and rich history that add character to the experience. The breakfast was simple but decent enough to get the day started. Overall, it’s fantastic value for money, especially if you enjoy a place with a story to tell. We would definitely stay again!

The breakfast was simple and adequate, but I believe adding a bit more variety could enhance the overall experience for guests.

The place is lovely, no dobt that it is old. Magnificent history. Really friendly and helpful staff. (Very glrateful for the aircon in my room) I would like to return and have a good look around thentown and see more of its history

The rooms possibly need a bit of paintwork but this did mot detract from me enjoying my stay

I enjoyed that we had good rooms and breakfast was included .staff was friendly

I didn't like that room 3 where my 2 year old daughter slept seems like there were bed bugs in that room . She woke up with many bites . Rooms should be thoroughly cleaned as well as mattresses , behind the bed and blankets

The aircon in our room was not working and we were downgraded to a smaller room. The aircon was working but leaking water.
