Pros +
- Breathtaking location, comfortable bed, clean, free parking, varied breakfast.
- Located just 15 mins from Nordkapp, rendering this hotel the ideal accommodation for motorcycles and cars, having a generous parking lot. The breakfast was superb
- The location is close to Nordkapp
Cons -
- The rooms need urgent modernization. The mattress was bad, the room had stale air, while the bathroom was sized for minions.
- Our allocated room had not been cleaned, the previous occupants toe nails and discarded food was still on the carpet.Coach loads of tourists arriving and being given preferential treatment by staff, especially at meal times at the expense of independent travellers. Independent travellers were allocated tables upstairs due to the fact that all ground floor tables had been reserved for the coach tourists use. Staff to busy with coach tourists. Staff not friendly or approachable.Original booking was for 3 nights but we couldn't wait to leave and only stayed one night. The accommodation was like holiday cabin resort from the 1960s. Not a pleasant experience.
- The so-called "250kr" voucher that Brussels Airlines handed out to us, gave access to a limited choice of very simple meals. Don't get me wrong, I am glad that you could provide these meals at all and I did not have to pay for it myself, it's just that 250kr seems a lot.

Flexible treatment of the urgent need created by the cancellation of our flight. Good adaptation to the airport context, e.g., breakfast starting at 4a.m.

Comfy room, with space for luggages.Really good breakfast.Reindeer in the proximity.Good position to reach NORDKAPP
The breakfast was good and the evening buffet was a positive surprise.
The room has carpet, which is probably the reason for the strange, disturbing smell. If you are sensitive (to smells) or allergic, you should choose another accommodation. Scandic, I recommend checking the indoor air in the rooms. Could it be MOLD?Note: no TV.
Reindeer in front of hotel. Free parking.
No roomservice on 3 out of 4 days. Reported it top front desk but got only useless answer like: we are so sorry. Do you like a towel? Management failing to have hotel run properly, a effect of hiring only for costs. Room is metal box. No air exchange. No WLAN in room. Curtiains not closing properly (necessary when it is 24hrs day outside). Food OK. Lots of annoying bus tourists.
Good location
No TV, no Wifi (even if was promised), not much options at breakfast.
We particularly liked the personnel - kind and helpful. Our room was on the ground floor, near the reception. Spacious, good internet access and we had the car parked just outside the window. Good and assorted breakfast is served in a large restaurant in the reception area, with large windows and a great view towards the mountains. There is an approximately half an hour drive to the Nordkapp.
We recommend staying at the Scandic Nordkapp Hotel.
Breakfast was fine. When we were here it was very crowded. Hotel is in very good location near nordkapp. Beds are ok. Nature is near.
Rooms are made from sea containers. There is nothing unnecessary on the rooms, not even a tv. No air conditioning. Can be really crowded.
The only notable perk of the hotel coming to my mind right now could be its location that is closer to the North Cape than the city centre of Honningsvåg. However it's not a paramount advantage if your main destination is the North Cape and if you have (own or hire) a car or even if you take the bus 110 because the city centre that should probably have better accommodation facilities is not too far away and it's also the departure area of the bus 110. This bus passes through the stop Skipsfjord near the hotel between 10:45 and 11:00 AM in the direction of the North Cape. On the other hand, as far as I remember, this hotel was somewhat cheaper than the hotels in the city centre of Honningsvåg. My room... Its size was okay. It had a bed which was fortunately comfortable enough, a couple of towels, electricity, and that's all. :) Unlike the majority of the previous reviews, I could connect to the wireless Internet of the hotel, even though it was weak and slow.
It fell short of the mark. - You shouldn't fall for the brand Scandic at all and must be aware that you pay at least €100-150/guest per night to stay in a primitive room of a container installed in the countryside. The rooms do not have a television. The thermal insulation was not strong enough because I felt cold and the bathroom was even way colder. Yes, I know it's July, but this is an extreme zone of Northern Europe that barely gets warm in the middle of summer for a short period. The bathroom was somewhat dirty and the soap and shower gel were of low quality.- It seems this hotel's being a basic accommodation facility on the road to the North Cape doesn't prevent it from being overcrowded because this hotel is preferred by tour agencies that accommodate their guests here. Since these tour guests had consumed most of the meals in the breakfast area before I arrived there, I didn't have much of a choice, so I cannot reliably comment on the quality of the breakfast service. :)- If you don't have a car or cannot find a ride to join, good luck. Except for hiking around the hotel and in the direction of the North Cape, there is nothing to do. To go to the North Cape your only option is the bus 110, but pay attention to its timetable. To go to the city centre or the airport you can call for a taxi of which there are only 2 in the city. :) (Hitchhiking and walking could be other options if you don't feel shy or tired at all.)- Last but not least, I was expecting the receptionists to be more informed about the area. I asked them about how to get to the North Cape just in case. The receptionist on my first day eventually told me he was a newbie at the hotel and suggested I ask the next receptionist. The other receptionist on my second day told me the only options were to have a car or call for a taxi. In fact she didn't know the bus 110 and no, taxi drivers don't go to the North Cape. :)
Great location for cyclists to visit the Northcape
It can be very busy with breakfast due to the large number of people but if you are early then it is no problem and the breakfast buffet is great
Breakfast, staff and room
Toilette in the room (shower box)
Have seen better things
Staff not very friendly and helpfully, had to sit upstairs to have dinner as all tables were reserved for by German& Austria travel groups.
Good breakfast buffet. Ideally situated to drive to the North Cape site.
The restaurant area is done for large groups, and quite noisy. The room was pretty small, the shower curtain did not protect well. We heard all outside noise.
A good location for accessing hiking tracks, Nordkapp and the town of Honningsvåg. A very basic room in a barrack style building, but passable if you are there only to sleep.
A rather small parking area and very busy at certain times with buses loading and off-loading people. No car recharging facilities.
Location, view, when eventually you did speak to a staff member they were helpful
Very slow checking in, the place is overrun with buses and the passengers, warm rooms, couldn’t open window due to mosquitoes
Good location to globe.
No heating, cold building, meal at night cold poor selection food, no wifi in rooms or tv. Don't stay at this hotel
Pleasant
Late arrivals with luckage with wheel felt like trying to sleep under railway. Arrivals should be restricted to 22.00 hours latest.
Basic but well equipped hotelroom, good value for money. Good restaurant
