The hotels halls look beautiful in the morning, most of the staff I interacted with in day 2 were super nice and even spoke a little bit of English
The room isnt as nice as the photos shows at all, lighting is dim, creaky old floors, the curtains felt cheap, the balcony had the AC unit (loud), when entering the room you have to play the card game with the door like it's among us (you had to scan multiple times)NOTE: The room does not have a bathtub although it is listed (we went in December snow everywhere in uzungol) thankfully, there is the sauna and swimming pool at least in the hotel, but the jacuzzi didn't work apparently (they said maintenance, I still doubt them)This part is a long note about uzungol itself, note that we went really off season in December:Uzungol is smaller than I thought but it is still a beautiful place, when we went, most shops and restaurants were closed and seemed abandoned, snow everywhere, the drive to uzungol is not dangerous thanks to the gov removing ice from the roads, however the drive is still annoying and has many inclines and turns, if you are not used to mountains driving like me, it will be a bit intimidating, however overall it is safe. Now the bad stuff, the place is completely pandering to Arabs and khaleeji nationals specifically, it is a bit jarring, and the prices are inflated to match, the quality is not matching though, ie it is not worth it and therefore I would really not recommend staying in uzungol, and if you don't have kids or can go without visiting a lake, don't go...Now if you go in the season, it is well known to be a place packed with people, if that's your thing above all else go for it. Otherwise, I can't recommend uzungol to anyone, the drive, the vibe, and the price. Not worth it.
My recent stay at Royal Uzungol Hotel & Spa exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel truly welcome. They were attentive and friendly. The room was beautifully designed, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable. The bed in particular was perfect for a great night’s sleep. The hotel’s amenities were top-notch, from the spa to Turkish Hamam, and the on-site restaurant served delicious meals with a great variety of options. The location was ideal, also it was peaceful and quiet.I was truly impressed by the attention to detail and the commitment to ensuring every guest has a memorable experience. I’ll definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and family and look forward to my next visit!”
The hotel is setup like a ski chalet and has a rustique touch to it. Staff are super friendly and will always get out of their way to assist.
it's far away from uzungol lake.
Best hotel in Uzungöl taking in consideration very few 4 stars available in the area . Breakfast
I ask for iron table but thay Refuse and said thay will take the cloth and iron it for us without telling us its paid service !! thay should be clear with the hotel guests and don’t fool them . Starbuck in the hotel is just stand and those preparing the coffiee are untrained , the worst Starbucks coffee I’ve ever drink .
I thanks miss Fatos for her consideration about allocat us in one apartment since I have kids. I thanks Mr, Tahrwat, for his dedication.
The breakfast was excellent and offered a wide variety of food options. I would suggest improving the selection of cold beverages and adding fresh oranges, more vegetables, and custom-made egg omelets.
the spa and pool facility could be improved with more activities and longer swimming hours.
Location and staff only
Room was not good and sleeping bed was very small and not comfortable at all.Room and furnitures are old and not good.Breakfast is not good and the place they served it was having bad smell.
The hotel is beautiful, vintage theme that plays well with the area of uzongol. I loved our stay. The hotel is very clean, very proper and the staff are very nice
The location, design and breakfast was good
Everything needs to maintain the elevator and the Internet
I paid more for this hotel because it with AC facilities but in all my trip I don't the AC it was not working in all my trip so they take more for nothing
good location / calm and safe place / nice & helpful front desk staff especial emre and fatos and hotel driver metin
The furniture is oldRestaurant food is not goodBreakfast is not varied and not tasty
Very friendly and helpful staff, good and quiet location, good reception service, nice decorations. I think the only hotel with AC (but AC doesn’t work only Fan air)
I booked the hotel during high season (August). Although the hotel is considered one of the best options in Uzungol, still the hotel needs more care and better standards for the value you pay. I booked for 7 night ($430 per night). You feel the bed linens, pillows and towels are overused, cleaning details are not perfect. Breakfast hot dishes options are limited (mainly the eggs-it is precooked and gets cold). Overall the hotel needs renovations to justify the high rate, but as I said options are very limited in Uzungol and all hotels are missing a lot of quality details.
Staff, location, room design
No AC what needed in summer season
Some of the staff were friendly.
Breakfast was not fresh, there is no station for doing eggs.Although my booking was for double room but the room is very small and the bed isn't enough for two persons.
Breakfast was good although they had less number of dishes.
Room and bed was small. Lighting was poor.
- Good location - nice view - humble staff
- small room- high price
Since the hotel restaurant was closed, we had to drive one hour all the way down the mountain to find a place to eat and then one hour all the way back to the hotel. The staff at the hotel kept lying to us saying the restaurant would open soon and they never opened, nor did they have any intention of opening it. What a way to spend the last day of Ramadan in 2023 and the Eid Holiday 2023.
We came here to celebrate the Holiday with our children. It was a disaster because none of the amenities were open and the staff would not open them. The pool, spa, sauna, steam room and restaurant were all closed. The staff kept lying and telling us they would open and just kept this same story until we finally decided to check out one day early. When we complained to Booking about the Amenities being closed, Booking called the Hotel Manager and the Hotel Manager lied and told them all amenities were open and available. The 1st day we checked in, we asked to if the restaurant was open considering it was the beginning of the tourist season and many restaurants in the area were still closed, they said "Restaurant is closed..OFF SEASON" then we asked if the pool is open.."POOL IS CLOSED...OFF SEASON". We asked them why this information was not updated in the booking.com system, they told us they dont do that. The entire hotel was ice cold because they refused to turn the heater on. We basically got completely ripped off. We were paying $420 a night and nothing that they listed in our reservation was available to us. The management and staff here are very unethical as they clearly lied to booking.com customer service when we complained.
