Chaantalay Hotel

So thoughtfully put together! Super clean, new, comfortable. Had everything we could need!

Employees aren’t particularly friendly. We don’t get the ‘hospitality’ vibe.

The rooms were modern immaculate and the most comfortable bed and linens.

The restaurant has great food but I kept forgetting to pay because you can’t charge to your room. Not really a problem but took some time to remember.

Very clean rooms & facilities.The staff is very helpful with anything you need help to book.Has a small but well equiped gym (bench, dumbells up to 20kg, pully machine with various grips).

The rooms are large, spacious and clean.The service from the reception staff is pleasant and warm.The location is not far from the beach, but it is worth taking a motorbike for those who do not like to walk. There is a snooker table and nice pool.

‏There is no breakfast and the buffet is open for limited hours, the gym is very small, so overall there is not much to do in the hotel.

The hotel is very clean, rooms are comfortable and in general hotel is very quiet.

You need to walk a bit to and from the beach, but helps to make some exercise.

Location was perfect for us, walking distance from Sairee beach and quiet. Pool was great, not busy at all and cleaned by staff every morning. Rooms modern and clean. Staff were friendly and Film was especially helpful. Can rent bikes and snorkels easily.

Some umbrellas at the pool would have been good for shade but when the sun moves there is shade in parts. The sliding door in the room was a bit tricky to lock but otherwise fine.

I can’t praise this hotel enough. The location was perfect, it was just outside of the choas of the main strip so it was really calm and quiet so great for relaxing and sleeping but still a good distance from it for when you wanted to go to eat or get snacks from 7/11. Took a few minutes on a moped and probably 5 minutes walking. The location was super close to a beach called Ao Hin Wong about a 3-5 minute drive (need a moped as very steep hills) which has a really popular bar called FreeDom bar. Philm (I hope I’ve spelt that correctly) on reception couldn’t be more helpful, she organised our transport to Phi Phi which consisted of a Night Ferry, Van and then a speed boat so took all of that admin from us and was just so helpful and friendly the entire time. We also were able to rent mopeds directly from the hotel, they have them right infront of the reception desk so this is just an added bonus to not have to try and find and get to a separate place and the price was really good.The facilities are also great, the rooms are lovely and the pool outside was great to swim during the day and night.

Nothing, we have stayed at many many places during our travels and this was by far the best.

2nd time back at this hotel and would pick it over and over again for when we come to Koh Tao. The staff are friendly. The hotel is great value for money, a lovely modern concept and the grounds and rooms are so looked after. It’s up the hill away from Sariee Beach but the walk is nice to do after a meal or night out. They also do bike rentals. The smile mart opposite is perfect and has everything you need even some Western home comforts.

Nothing major but it would be perfect in the peak of the day to have some shade around the pool.

It could use sun umbrellas at the pool. Would be nice if the gym area opened earlier.Bathroom needs a hanger for toilet roll.

The best hotel of our trip to thailand! - The rooms are gorgeous, beautifully designed!- The whole hotel is impeccably well maintained, very clean and fresh. - The bathrooms are amazing, with the best shower I have ever had - amazing water pressure and very hot water! - The staff made up our room so beautifully every day.- The outdoor pool area and balconies are amazing.- Location is also fab, approx 10 min walk to the main area, so is super quiet and peaceful but takes no time at all to get to all the main bars and restaurants.- There is also a 24 hour supermarket 2 mins from the hotel and the best gym on the island. - The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating.- We ended up rebooking this hotel a further two times because we loved it so much!

It is a new resort, 3 min bike ride away from the center

They unfortunatelly do not have "customer first" mindset. The staff and management are not flexible nor helpful. I made a reservation for 2 people and my friend could not join. Instead of canceling (At that time I still had a free cancellation option) and making a cheaper reservation for a single person for my reservation, I decided to keep my reservation and talk when I come to the hotel. But instead of being flexible, they took advantage of the situation, and they took the cost of double room instead of single stay. It is also my mistake that I thought that they would be customer oriented and find a compromise instead of charging me for 2 people.

If you get the higher class room, it is amazing, but the more "budget" rooms aren't as comfortable.The pool is very nice. It is a quiet area. You can also rent scooters at the reception.

The location, a bit far away from everything else. The gym is nothing to look at, but there is a big gym close by.

Super modern room, pool and architecture. Very Clean. Friendly staff. Nice balcony.

Location hard to reach without scooter. 300 BHT for shuttle service to port is overpriced. The house is very thin-walled and you can hear the loud door slamming of neighbours and staff all night and day.

the shower misses some kind of curtain or wall to prevent water going everywhere. after a shower the bathroom is very wet. also, be aware that the location is a bit far from the lively centre of koh tao.

Good location, quiet at night and only a 20 minute walk to town but if you have a moped it takes about 5 minutes (you can rent one at the hotel)Didn’t use the facilities but looked nice, staff very friendly.

Only stayed 2 nights and had no issues.

The room are very clean, the room we stay in have a nice pool views i like it a lotall and all the hotel are very nice. The owner are very helpful and friendly

I would say we're a bit over paid with the price because it was during Christmas time of the years.
