Cons -
- It seemed that the staff was inexperienced. I never received the shuttle service from the pier. Even though my arrival time was shared in an email with an acknowledgement response, no one showed. The restaurant food was the only thing that really had me wanting to leave. I tried something different every night of our stay and nothing seemed worth ordering again. We went in to town and had a great meal at a small shop so I know good food is doable on the island. The staff in the restaurant seemed inexperienced. During the same meal, I would order a beer and a bottle would be delivered and the next time it would be delivered with a cold glass. They were unable to answer questions about the menu never checked in to see if we needed anything or how the meal was. (May be a Thai thing, I am unsure)
- We spent over $1000 a night for a villa on the sea. Definitely not worth it. It’s not that nice (the facilities or the location), there are not enough services. Overall it was a rip off
- A lot of stairs but weren’t too bad

A lot of stairs but weren’t too bad
The view from the ocean view room is incredible but it was quite windy when we were there. The breakfast area is very cute and can do snorkelling from the main beach. Free kayaks are also available which is a plus! The bathroom is also huge and the bed is super comfortable.
The climb to the rooms is a lot! The pathways are not well lit up at all which makes it tough to walk to and from the rooms to the reception area. There are random unmarked stairs. The cart to take to you to rooms is not available after a certain time of the night. While the staff is friendly and nice, we’ve always had Thailand resorts go the extra mile for special occasions which was not the case here.
Wonderful and peaceful location. Our room had a beautiful view. The staff was very friendly especially Oscar at the poolbar and Phoo at the restaurant. The food was really good!
There were quite many stairs.
Unbeatable location away from the crowds, incredibly beautiful with the ocean and bay on both sides, friendly staff, great breakfast
Easy access to snorkeling and kayaking every day. Very relaxing, cool vibe to the resort. Affordable massages on site. Happy hour drinks daily. Breakfast buffet is excellent.
Taxis are pricey on the island, so getting anywhere is an expense. The resort is large and hilly so getting from the room to the restaurant is a hike. Restaurant food is average.
This is my second time here. Beautiful place. Good snorkeling right off the beach. Complementary mask and snorkel in the room. Great breakfast buffet included. Free shuttle back and forth to town. Great infinity swimming pool. Staff makes everything so easy. Nice fitness room. Perfect place for beach/snorkeling vacation. This is where the dive/snorkeling boats come... but you don't need a boat if you stay here.
We had a problem with the door- didn't closed well-and it took some time until they fixed it. Additionally, they didn't cleaned the room every day and Ihad to ask a few times to get the room clean and get fresh towels and toilet paper. The charge on everything in the mini bar and don't give any thing with complimentary wich was a basic thing in other hotels we stayed in during our trip.
Amazing secluded resort on a cliffside offering amazing views. Some highlights:* Really spacious rooms with views of the sea* Extremely friendly staff* A full schedule of activities, a gym, a dive center, a 24h store as well as a muay tai studio all on premise* Beautiful beach and infinity pool with pool bar offering stunning views* Free transport to and from the city
* While the food was great, if you like fine dining the on premise restaurant does not offer this (although it has great and tasty affordable thai food)
Now for the real highlight — the snorkeling. From both beaches, the coral access is amazing. You can snorkel with small reef sharks and turtles. Just be careful of the titan triggerfish; there are quite a few. It was truly beautiful and unforgettable.Except for the experience at reception, the rest of the staff were genuinely kind, and we are grateful to them for our wonderful snorkeling memories.
We had a good stay overall, but there were a few important issues. Upon arrival, we were given a different room than the one we had originally booked, and no one informed us about the change. The receptionist was not very friendly — she rolled her eyes and said something in Thai to her colleague, who then explained that our room was under renovation and they moved us to an ocean-view room instead. While the room itself was beautiful, we came mainly for snorkeling, and this room was very far from the beach access. The hotel has a lot of stairs, and it’s not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Even getting into the truck that takes you from the port is difficult — you need to jump in, hold your luggage, and brace yourself for the extremely steep road. The room, however, was stunning. The bathroom felt almost outdoors when you opened the shutters, and it was huge. The bed was very comfortable. The pool and pool bar were fantastic, and we enjoyed the happy hour a lot.The hotel is far from town, and unless you want to repeat difficult trip, you have to eat at the hotel restaurant. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t very good and was quite expensive. We ended up spending a lot of money over just three days. Services like massages were also very expensive for Thai standards.

Should have pool every room or tub

Spacious room, private beach for snorkeling and snorkeling equipment in room. Food we ordered from room service was really good.
Location - far away from everything and really hard to commute to and from the hotel because taxi prices are fixed and very high relative to distance travelled. Breakfast was really disappointing and outside on the sand.
We loved the extra activities for example the yoga class and the ice bath. It was really nice that they gave for free snorkels and kayaks. The beach was amazing and the gym was excellent with a beautiful view.
The WiFi was not good at all.
The resort is beautiful and the view is amazing. The beach and snorkeling is really nice and the resort offers a few cool attractions. Also the gym is quite nice and well equipped. The private boat tour you can take from the hotel is amazing!
The access is a bit tough. Theres a lot of stairs in order to get everywhere. Our biggest issue was with the cleaning staff, we found out that they basically leave all of the pillows and bed covers on the floor while they clean. Which is just horrible in our opinion.
Part of the staff was very niceThe pool bar is awsome
Some of the employees are not nice. Many many many stairs that they are not showing in the images.Everything is much more expensive than it should be.The beach is very disappointing.
Good snorkeling spot, great in house activities - yoga, Muuay Thai. Wonderful staff.
The beach is beautiful and offers great opportunities for snorkeling right off the shore—there’s plenty of marine life to see. Just a heads up: coral shoes are definitely necessary, as there are some rocky and coral areas in the water. The hotel’s restaurant was another highlight, serving delicious food with a lovely atmosphere. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I’d happily return!
The location of the property on a narrow peninsula with a beach on one side and spectacular snorkeling on the other is just unmatched on the island. The pool is lovely and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The location is fairly remote from town. Though not very far, it is up and down a steep mountainside requiring 4WD, and walking is not an option for most. Grab does not work on Koh Tao so you are reliant on the rare hotel shuttles. Otherwise, expect to pay 500BHT for a private truck into town.
