Haadtien Beach Resort

Our villa on the beach was stunning but the beach is very rocky.

They let outside guests to use the beach so when you have a beach villa like we did, people can lay towels and chairs right in your view. Bath towels were not thick or soft. Pillows were lumpy. Also the beach is rocky.

It was relaxing to be there. The location was great, away from the honky tonk part of the island. The beach and infinity poor were great as was the free breakfast.

The finishes were a bit worn, such as the wood wall behind the bathroom sink. The walk to our cottage took effort but gave privacy. The pick up from the dock took too long and the staff was not very friendly at the reception area.

The calm and the location was good. Amenities fair enough but somehow not exclusive.

Not private, you can access without being in the hotel, so it was more crowded than it should. For a 4-5 star, no gym, poor room, no hand towels neither hot water for 2. Not so friendly staff.

The place is beautiful, just come as a daily guest and you will enjoy the place perfectly!

DONT BOOK BECAUSE OF THE NICE PHOTOS!!!One of the worst places i have stayed. When we got to the room there was a bad smell from the gutters. After a called the reception, they sent someone, he tried to help but SAID HE DOES IT EVERY DAY AND IT WILL STAY LIKE THAT. He was correct.The hotel I very out dated, the staff was very unfriendly.Worker named Kyav, laughed in my face when i asked for coffee on my first breakfast, and showed me the way to a 15 min line to get coffee (photo attached).Worker named Mai, wouldn’t change money for our taxi driver on the last day saying its only for customers, we said we are staying for a week here, ahe didnt care…The shuttles are very bad, the put you on the back of the truck in the sun and wait until the truck is full! (Photo attached)DONT COME FOR ANY COAST! I do recommend arriving for a daily visit, the pool is nice.

The location is beautiful, right on a stunning beach with amazing views.The pool is great.

The hotel is poorly maintained, many things were broken or not clean, and they messed up our booking so we had to pay for a more expensive room. The staff was unfriendly, and a coconut almost fell on us.

It really was very tired, cleaning didn’t feel meticulous for the price we were paying ; we found fresh bird poo on the bed twice for no apparent reason and the doors were left unlocked a few times after the cleaners had been in

2nd time staying at this resort, last year and this year. Few things let it down this year, issues that were not there last year.Breakfast room is too small, its very over crowded trying to use the buffet, very long ques at the coffee machines, made breakfast not a enjoyable experiencePool villa needs renovating, wood work looking tired, loose decking around the pool, missing tiles in the pool, walls of pool rusty, heavily stained curtainsMaid service in room was poor, tissues left empty for 5 days, was not replenished. Soaps in shower left empty for 5 days again not replenished, i even took the lids off to hint they were empty but still were not replenished.Our room was left unlocked on 3 occasions while we were out following maids clean

Breakfast was a bit manic, and would have loved an ice coffee at the bar! A gym or some yoga would make this place perfect!

Beautiful views, very clean and tidy and lovely swimming pools. Breakfast choice very good and accommodation units well spaced out with great individually allocated outside space.

Accommodation is a bit tired and could have done with better communication from staff/reception around what was open/available - e.g. one restaurant not open, long boats from beach not available every day but hard work to find this out! Very isolated so taxi/shuttle needed to get anywhere. A lot of steps to reception so no good for anyone with poor mobility.

The Location is stunning ! The beach and the pool area are beautiful. Breakfast was good too.The hotel staff was very friendly and kind. Good service. We rented some scouters via a hotel contact and the service was great too.

The reception and exit of the hotel are located up the mountain while the rooms and the beach are below, you have to climb a lot of stairs. The location is at the end of the island, you need a motorcycle or taxis to get to the center.

The property was beautifully presented with an excellent beach and accommodation.

Firstly we booked via Booking.com. We selected two adults and one child age 6 we were charged additional 4500 Thai baht for three nights for an additional bed for our daughter. It is unreasonable to expect a six year-old to sleep with her parents.We felt the result was heavily understaffed, starting with the reception which feels chaotic a tiny space for dozens of customers to check in with just two or three members of staff on a small desk for 2 staff. Our main frustration was breakfast on the morning, which was inadequate for the amount of guests and the size of the resort stretched staff who are unable to cope with the volume of guests and overall insufficient space. Queueing for 10 minutes to wait for coffee from a tiny machine that would be better suited to a small waiting area rather than a setting serving 100 guests.We tried to order our daughter some poolside snacks, again a busy restaurant with only a handful of staff nobody guiding you towards a table once we were seated we had to approach the bar back and forth several times to establish the order process. We waited for over 30 minutes for a portion of chips in the final 10 minutes we asked to speak to a manager to explain that if they were not with us within a further five minutes we would have no choice but to leave from the point of walking in to leaving was 45 mins! Overall we feel this is a beautiful resort that is being let down by the management they feel they are beyond capacity for the number of staff available.The staff as individuals were on the whole friendly and pleasant but were unable to offer the level of service that I would expect from a hotel of this standard. It would appear that they are expanding the hotel as they were building work in process during our stay, I would suggest the breakfast setting needs addressing urgently along with reception and check-in/check out process.

The location of the resort as such was the best thing. The beach was always cleaned every morning. Staff was friendly too.

Breakfast and in particular the situation with the coffee machine is unacceptable. How can u expect guests to stand in line for 20 minutes for a fresh coffee? One single machine for 200+ guests is just ridicolous! If the pre-brewed coffee would have been drinkable (i.e. not so disgusting) one would have had an alternative. Overall the resort has its best days behind itself, and we booked the most expensive room (cast away beach villa)…Looks to me that the management or the owner of the hotel just wants to make some extra cash on the shoulders of the poor employees who have to deal with the guests.

The Location and Appartment directly at the beach was perfect and a dream!! We would go there definitely again. The Bungalows at the beach were so so nice. The most beautiful beach of Koh Tao!

The pool were a little bit dirty and non hotel guest used the sunbeds there. I wished there were more securties to check that.

They have the best beach，the best service and the best breakfast inKoh Tao. We all like this place and they are also very nice to a family with kids.

Holiday is too short.?

It was much bigger than expected which culminated in the lovely staff being very busy. The breakfast seemed a bit chaotic !
