    Pros +

    • Functional room in a heritage building, perfect location in the city centre.
    • Staff very friendly, location is perfect, right in the center, neighborhood is safe and parking close by
    • Centrally located, friendly staff at reception, comfortable bed

    Cons -

    • The whole room floor has a toilet smell…I think it’s the mop that needs to change
    • Noisy, not much space to hang towels, keep items in the bathroom. Limited breakfast options on the first day.
    • Walls are very thin so we woke up to the next rooms alarm clock. Limited lighting in the rooms.Aircon machine just blew out warm air when we needed it cooler. Very loud fire alarm at 10.30 went on for 5 mins and it was just a test which we weren’t told about. Would’ve been nice before trecking down the stairs with the deafening noise.

Great location and away from the noisy streets, huge beds and big bathrooms. Good for a weekends stay. Leaving your key at the front desk every time you leave, peace of mind knowing you haven’t lost it when you’re out!

Wonderful hotel in an excellent location, right in centre of Toulon. We travelled for rugby, and this was an ideal walking distance between the train station for our arrival, and the stadium when it came to game day. Plenty of shops and cafes/bars around us as well. The staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay, and made us feel really welcome.

Really nice staff at the reception and at the breakfast. The room was great, the breakfast was a nice French breakfast with really delicious bread especially. Everything was clean. The location is very central, which is great.

The hotel management has made considerable effort to renovate the old building and make it comfortable but not enough to reduce the smell. The room was smelly. We slept with an open window but there was a constant noise from the roof we faced, most probably from a ventilator. It is a pity that an otherwise charming hotel cannot achieve one of the most important characteristic of quality accommodation: freshness of the air in the room.

    Smell in the room

Centrally located in the town which made everything very accessible

I used the discount parking protocol and when I left the parkade the following day, it didn't recognize my payment and I had to pay an additional $17 Euro to get my car out of the parking lot.

The location was great. The staff was very helpful. The bed and the room were very comfortable. The breakfast was good value.

    The elevator was scary.

Convenient location to shopping, port and train station. The bathroom was remodeled nicely.

Sorry to say it's a long list. (1) Required to leave 100euro deposit so I wouldn't steal anything from a room that didn't have remotely near 100euro in removable items. so the "welcome" felt decidedly unfriendly. (2) The hallway smelled terrible (old carpet). (3) Thin walls, could hear everything in hallway and adjacent rooms. (4) Room furnishings photographed well enough to make the art seem stylisthly kitschy, but in person everything appeared cheap, tired, and old. (5) Uncomfortable bed. (6) Rooftop "pool" photographed to look much bigger than it is. No room for more than one person unless it's someone you know and like a lot. (7) Grossly overpriced compared to the other French hotels I stayed in, and I didn't even try the breakfast or sauna, which would have added substantially to the already overpriced basic room. (There are plenty of nearby cafes and patisseries for coffee and pastry.) (8) Checkout was delayed because I had to wait while they checked that I really did not steal anything before refunding my deposit.

Room was fine, comfortable and quiet. Location of the hotel was good for our overnight stay close to the centre.

Check in process was slow and arduous as the staff were taking a security deposit off every guest. There were notices in the rooms advising the price of all the sundry items including towels. Maybe the hotel has suffered from loss of property in the past but it made us feel like we were untrusted.

The hotel is located very centrally located and mere minutes away from cafe's, restaurants, shops and open-air markets - quite ideal. It is also easily accessed from train station, either by walking or taxi/car. Our room was decent enough for space, but the layout was a little odd. The room had a mini-fridge. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. The rooftop pool is nice and provides a great little view of the city and port. The breakfast was also decent for the money. The staff were also very friendly and nice.

Unfortunately, the air-conditioning had a very dank and mildewed smell, which overwhelmed the room, so we opted to sleep with the A/C off and the window open - we did invite the mosquitos though - so the choice is yours. The shower drain backed up and was clogged and we had to wait a couple minutes, for it to drain before continuing to shower. I suppose we could have requested to have some attend to it, but I cleaned out the drain myself a few times, but it persisted. Having two separate mattresses, created problems when sleeping, as they separated in the night and you ended up finding yourself falling between them in your sleep and waking up with a kink in your neck.

The staff were cery friendly and helpfulIt is very central so close to restaurants and cafes

The hotel could do with updating More efficient air conditioning would be good

    8BarbaraPosted on: 9-4-2025

The staff were very helpful the room had a two aspect view which was nice

The safe could not be opened until I consulted the staff who opened it. It woul be better to use a key as batteries expire very easily

Nice rooftop bar and pool.Staff was friendly Room was spacious.

Shower door was kind of broken (The door fell towards me as I was showering), but we managed to repair. The sinks don't drain properly

We stayed for one night before catching the ferry to Corsica the next day. We had requested an early check-in, which the hotel kindly accommodated (at an extra cost), and this was very much appreciated after our long train journey. The hotel is right in the heart of Toulon, a perfect location for exploring. It also has a lovely small rooftop pool, where we were able to have a refreshing dip, cool down, and enjoy views over the city. Toulon itself is a lovely place with a great vibe — we really enjoyed the restaurants and bars nearby.
