VISTALEGRE Hotel-Spa

This is a lovely modern hotel and spa with a nice lobby and good breakfast option. Our room was very quiet and comfortable with an amazing rain shower.It is very close to many other bars and restaurants and right on the Camino path.

The other hotel entrance is uneven with the outside pavement. It should be painted to easily distinguish the difference or a sign that says uneven steps or watch your steps. I almost tripped twice.

This facility is top notch! We had the room which overlooked the town’s sign that all pilgrims stopped to take a picture by. There was a small balcony that was the perfect place to be around 9:00 when the sun wasn’t quite as intense. We didn’t use the spa but it was available.

There was nothing I didn’t like about it

A beautiful and well maintained small hotel with a truly exceptional staff. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel provided secure storage for our two bicycles. Room was very comfortable with fantastic shower. We did not use the spa but other guests were very impressed. Outstanding value.

A wonderful hotel with friendly staff, beautiful, decorated bedroom and excellent amenities. We took full advantage of the spa facility. Portomarin was a lovely surprise along the Camino, with plenty of choice bars and restaurants.If starting the Camino from Sarria, we would suggest staying in Portomarin and then getting the bus to Sarria to take advantage of two nights in this hotel and enjoying the town twice.

Everything at this hotel felt like it had been recently renovated. Room and hotel were very clean, nice towels, very nice bathroom fixtures, and mattress was very comfortable for us. Front desk was very welcoming and helpful. We arrived by bicycle and they happily stored our bikes in the secure underground parking garage. The garage even has a car “lift,” which we used to enter. An added plus is the hotel has an elevator.

The hotel is modern and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We did have one issue, the water for the entire hotel was shut down for 2 hours. Sylvia was very kind and explained the issue.

Great Location and nice clean rooms. Our rooms looked fairly new and were comfortable.

Location and beauty of the hotel were great. We appreciated the staff help at the end of our first long day on the Camino. Also, the breakfast the next morning suited us well since most places weren’t yet open when we were ready to depart.

Wi-Fi did not reach to upper floor. No breakfast/coffee nearby in the morning.

Loved the cleanliness & the room. Bath amenities (shower liquid soap, shampoo & conditioner) & clean towels. Upon check in, Sylvia was very pleasant & welcoming. She was also helpful with nearby dining recommendations. Hubby & I felt like having a coffee & she was so sweet in accommodating us when she has just cleaned the coffee machine for the day.

after a long walk on this day we were greeted by the most helpful host, she made us feel welcome and recommended a great restaurant for us to stay at. We asked a lot of questions and she happily helped us out. Definitely would stay again.

no fault of theirs but they didn't have any more spa openings this particular day, our sore feet could have used a soak.

The property is very modern. It is well-run and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great night’s sleep. The breakfast offering was plentiful with lots of choices, including cereals, which has been lacking at other, higher star-rated hotels. The location is perfect for the weary traveller. I was given a very warm welcome, which always goes a long way after a hard day’s walking. The staff were very efficient and very patient.

There was nothing I didn’t like about the hotel. I would not hesitate to highly recommend it. The hotel is listed as a two star hotel, but it is much, much better than some of the four star hotels I have stayed at recently. This hotel is certainly punching above its weight.

This was a posh hotel for a minimal price. The spa was wonderful and the hostess, Sylvia, was amazing.

It was a nice and cozy place. The girl was very nice. Perfect room. And it had a Spa for 12h the hour, wilhich felt great after a long walk.

Maybe the Spa had too much chlorine.

Would have been nice to use the spa without charge after all its name is a spa hotel !
