Pros +
- I loved the peaceful environment and the beautiful room!
- The hotel is beautiful and very clean. It’s not on the main road which was nice and quiet. The yard is very nice to sit in after dinner. We had dinner there and it was delicious.
- We felt welcomed the moment we walked in. We were greeted with a warm smile right away. The manager grabbed our luggage and us and off we went up the elevator to the second floor where she showed us all around. We had walked 19 miles that day so we could not walk…so we dined there and the food was incredible. I honestly cannot say enough about Hotel Amiuka. The hotel, room, and grounds were all so beautiful. I could have stayed a while:)
Cons -
- We were there in the off season so I really can't say I did not like anything. We did order the picnic "breakfast" and I was a little disappointed with the items...3 granola bars, tiramisu without a spoon, juice box without a straw, sandwich was good as was the fruit.
- Nothing. It was perfect!
- The fact that there is no staff on site to welcome you or check you in is a bit bizarre and prefer human interaction but that may be just a ‘me’ thing.

Everything it’s fantastic, sorta like your in Sweden at a spa designed by an Ikea art director.

Self sustentable and ecological with great installations. Family operated.
Expensive food.
Hotel Amiuka has a modern yet cozy vibe, enhanced by the light wood construction and the minimalist furnishings and decor. Our room had a little balcony and a very comfortable bed, very nice linens, and a great shower. Dinner and breakfast are available. We only had dinner, which we thoroughly enjoyed (you have to order before 5:30 pm).
We were charged with for 2 rooms when we thought we canceled one. We asked the woman if our second room was successfully cancelled and she told us it was yet we were charged for two rooms.
Nice hotel, too far from town and restaurants.
The girl at reception the first day spoke fluent English and was great. She arranged a taxi for 7:30 am the next morning because there were only 4 taxis in town. She also gave him the name of the hotel we were staying in Santiago. Iwas outside at 7:20 waiting for the taxi. It showed up promptly at 7:30. I put my walking poles in the cab then went back inside the hotel to get my wife. Anew lady at reception who didn't speak English came out and insisted my cab belonged to another woman. She wouldn't let me explain and put the other woman in the cab. The woman was very rude! She did call another cab that showed up 17 minutes later, but threw us off our time schedule. It was very stressful. I would not stay there again!!
Nicely decorated and very comfortable. Outdoor garden is great for relaxing. Nice dinner and breakfast- reserve spots in advance though.
Fantastic property all around. Beautiful grounds and comfortable rooms.
Not a deal breaker, but be aware, it's a mild walk away from the camino. Maybe .75km.
Cleanness, modern, minimalist, friendly
Wonderful family run hotel. All the important things like shower, bed and comfort is top notch. The view is unbeatable and the location is perfect for the camino but a little more quiet. Friendly staff makes for “Perfecto”
My favorite part was sitting and resting in the beautiful garden under a willow tree, with the beautuful view of the valley and feeling the wind, while drinking wine!
A very small detail that is not ideal is that you can see the toilet from the bedroom. You could close it with a sliding door , but when closing the toilet, the shower opens up.A very simple solution is to put a mirror in front of the sink, and also from the bedroom’s side.
Comfortable room. Nice surroundings. Quiet.
We booked our stay last minute after a long day on the Camino and are so happy that we found a room here. Hotel Amiuka was exactly what we wanted at the end of a long hiking day: squeaky clean, comfortable, nice hot showers, and even large windows looking out at the surrounding nature. Definitely recommend for other Camino walkers!
Hotel Amiuka is a wonderful stop along the Camino! From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth and hospitality, making us feel at home after a long day’s walk. The hotel is modern, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with the comfort of pilgrims and travelers in mind. Our room was spacious, quiet, and beautifully maintained—everything we needed for a restful night. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the peaceful atmosphere ensured the best sleep we had on our journey. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh and tasty options that fueled us for the next stage of the Camino. What stood out most was the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. They went above and beyond to assist with anything we needed, and their recommendations for local dining and services were spot on.O Pedrouzo is the perfect final stop before reaching Santiago, and Hotel Amiuka makes it even more special. I highly recommend this gem to anyone walking the Camino or visiting the area—you won’t be disappointed!
There was nothing we did not enjoy. Well done!
Very comfortable beds. Lovely, giant bath tub. Great natural light in the rooms. Pretty courtyard area and effective air conditioning.
This modern family owned and operated property is a lovely change of pace from some of the older and rundown Camino places to stay. The modern architecture both inside and outside harmonizes with the natural environment. It is obvious that much personal thought went into the design of this property. The outdoor garden area is spacious with a variety of seating both in the sun and the shade. The rooms are spacious and appointed nicely. The staff is friendly and kind. It is less than a ten minute walk from restaurants but you can also order dinner there as well. Just a 5 minute walk from the church where the pilgrim Mass is conducted.
I would have eaten dinner there but the Mass time was at 7 and the dinner was 7:30-8:30. Maybe an earlier dinner time?
The staff was amazing. The room was spectacular. The food was delicious and even the outdoor space was peaceful and serene.
Exquisite place. Modern building using materials such as cork and wood all throughout. Very helpful hosts, very accommodating.
