    Pros +

    • Spa, location and staff. Stayed during and after Camino walk.
    • Classy old world feel with excellent staff and great spa services. The thermal bath room is incredible. Nice grounds, outdoor pool and good breakfast. Close to town. The balcony rooms facing the river and old bridge are desirable. Love this place!

    Cons -

    • No, fantastic old school place.
    • Nothing wrong to dislike.
    • This is a large hotel and as such does cater to bus tour groups who seemed to get first choice access to dinner in their dining room. You are in an easy location to walk around the rest of the town though and access other restaurants. The outdoor hot pool and the underground Jacuzzi were both very pleasant but probably in the 95 degree range so not as hot as we would have liked (especially after a long day of walking in the rain) but we had a similar experience in other places in Spain and Portugal so perhaps that is the standard temperature for their Jacuzzis.

We had a nice room with a balcony overlooking the river. We were there in October on an intermittently rainy day so did not experience any issue with the comfort of the room. We were in the main building. It is a historical hotel so the building itself is older but also charming for this reason. There is a large outdoor pool and a smaller shallow pool outside that is a hot spring. In the basement there is a very interesting hot springs jacuzzi. You sign up for a time slot, which we had no problem getting. It has other spa facilities there also. There is this unique multicolor waterfall like thing in the center of the Jacuzzi that is very fun. Breakfast is in a large dining room and has a pretty standard European breakfast available that was good.

    Not much. The pool.

The horrible rooms, dining with senior citizens. Felt like I was in a senior home. Staff was rude.

Best thing about this property is the front desk staff and the young lady that takes care of the tavern. The evening meal was very good. Mineral spring treatment not much to write home about.

For tired and weary Camino travelers, the beds will do you no favors. Hard, old, linens ancient but it gets better. NO HVAC in the rooms.

The pool and the spa were great.

The rooms need to be updated and the mattresses were poor. The food was very average.

The property could not be more beautiful. It is right on the river the pool and the facilities are gorgeous.

This place was great! The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Robes provided to enjoy the heated pool, hot tub, and thermal bath. After 4 days on the Camino, the 30 minutes in the thermal bath was a life saver!

The staff was so nice and knowledgeable- the room clean and perfect - and that fish in the pool really heated the whole pool, very impressive!

Beautiful pool. Great free hydrotherapy. R&R on the Camino

love the pool, location and the thermal hot springs!!!

I think the breakfast lacks, could have hot breakfast with eggs, and that would make a difference!

    Old facilities, bad food

    7EmilyPosted on: 8-25-2025

Beautiful hotel with great hot spring pool!

The wood floors are very loud, so you can hear everything happening in the room above you.

    8ChristophPosted on: 8-8-2025

Great facilities, with pool and spa fed by natural hot springs. Comfortable beds. No air conditioning, so we opened a few windows. We heard the river all night, which drowned out any road noise and helped us get a great night's sleep. Good breakfast.

The only drawback was the lack of air conditioning. Even though it was hot that day, we made it work. But the room and the amenities were certainly worth the money, and we would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel right on the camino. Sparkling clean pool. Wonderful hydrotherapy. Exceptional service at the reception.

    Everything was wonderful

    7TheresaPosted on: 7-25-2025

The swimming pool and the Spa.

    The room needed better cleaning.

    8NataliaPosted on: 7-18-2025

The thermal pools and massage were a great treat after walking the Camino. It was close to everything. Our room had air conditioning so that was also great! We were in the stand alone cabin towards the back of property so it was quiet and we felt like we were glamping. They were very nice to pack us a picnic for the next day because we would leave before breakfast.

Unfortunately it felt really small for two people. There were some cobwebs throughout and the shower was also very small. Made it work for one night but started feeling claustrophobic.

Room included a hydrotherapy session. The swimming pool was a pleasant bonus

The room was too warm - no air conditioning and no cross ventilation
