The fireplace and the wood provided was good

No shower. Kitchen sink was blocked and leaking.

the room had everything we needed during our stay. the fully equpped kitchen was useful for food prep and the bedroom was warm and comfortable.

The indoor fireplace needed repairs and the sink was in need of attention

Breakfast and their dinner is amazing. Great place to eat. Location as well... Hotel at the start street as you about to enter hogsback.

The cleanliness. Towels were brown. Not a good look... Shower takes time to heat up.

Everything you need is available.

Initially we were in a room with a bath and it was awkward as we’re used to a shower. When I mentioned this to Brent, he immediately moved us to a room with a shower. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at Kings Lodge.

It was a nice place, with a new view, pool and cute restuarants.

They are too strict. I received a call at around 21:00 being told I was making a noise while I only on the phone. To my shock, the person sleeping next to me was sleeping soundly to proof I was not making a noise. I cant pay for an accommodation where I am not allowed to have a conversation. I did raise this with the staff but no one came with any assistance.

Warm, friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff. An excellent base for exploring Hogsback. Good food and cosy pub.

Suggestions:1. The baths should have a hand shower option.2. The breakfast should include healthy vegetarian options such as muesli, yoghurt and fresh fruit.

Pool table and the one you swim in, comfortable bed, quiet, very helpful staff, in house massage therapist though we didn't use. Restaurant food very good. Lovely building.

My first visit ever to Hogsback. Friendly staff with warm personalities. Food was devine.I had no choice than to relax.

Everything was perfect for a retreat away from the busy modern city life, it a tranquil place to touch base with nature and for peace and quiet

Honestly we didn't enjoy it, as a young couple who still have city energy it became too quiet and conservative for us, and unfortunately we did not have a closer bustling town life to escape too during the day

Location good.

Bed was terrible. Wire springs coming through. Pocket springs came in decades ago. Chairs uncomfortable. Kitchen a bodget and scarper job. Tin foil on the chimney instead of a proper repair. Pathways uneven and treacherous. Dinner of ribs and lamb shank were tough. Certainly not fall off the bone.

The service was excellent, the food was top tier

In summer there should not be electric blankets on the beds.

The reception staff were very nice and helpful. We requested and received a clean room, after discovering the first one was dirty, although management wouldn't honor the included breakfast option due to the change.

We rented the cottage, which upon inspection the bathroom was dirty and had not been cleaned. There was urine on the toilet seat and pubic hair on the rim, and the trash was filled with used toilet paper from prior guests. I didn't have confidence the bed sheets had been changed. When I complained and asked for different accomodations, the cleaning staff gave us attitude for bringing up the issue with management. Breakfast was included with the cottage but they wouldn't honor that when we changed to a more basic room, eventhough we had made the reservation through Booking.com. It was very strange but we were tired and didn't want to argue since the price was low being out of season.

Great place and well located. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was great.

The only thing I didn't like was there was no shower in the bath tub, but other than that everything was great.

Surroundings, exceptional comfort, cleanliness good food and friendly staff.

Despite the inclement weather there was nothing unlikeable about the property.
