Sabi River Sun Resort

Safe parking on site. Large comfortable bedroom with en-suite. Supper was in the form of a buffet and there was a good choice of salads and hot options. The breakfast was very good with both continental and cooked options, and a variety of fruit and cereals on offer. A convenient and acceptable stayover en route Kruger National Park

We arrived after dark, and Google directed us to a neighbouring property. Parking was far removed from the accomodation. Large resort lacking personal involvement.

Very nice resort with golf, tennis and good servi e. Walking trails were a plus. Hippos sighting.

Food was excellent, especially the buffet in the evenings.

The rooms are NOT well insulated - very noisy! You can hear people talking in the passage and in the rooms next door. The hotel rooms seem to have very thin walls with poor insulation.Also, as the bathrooms are very small, the door should be replaced with a sliding door.

What a lovely surprise the hotel was! The facilities were excellent, the food was very good, and it was very easy to get to the Kruger. Had a wonderful stay.

The family rooms are small, but were perfectly comfortable.

Access control cards don't work well, sink in room blocked. More options on the buffet would be great.

Facilities and staff

The food in the buffet for breakfast and dinner was very limited and sub standard . The food off the a la carte menu was much better

The hotel rooms are very small and the beds needs new matrasses. We did not sleep well on it. It is very soft.

Family friendly

Television is poor no network and still no option for Netflix

We loved the location, the beautiful walks in the gardens, the many facilities, friendly staff and of course the delicious buffet breakfasts and dinners!

The sizzling weather..

Great place for a break away, very nice rooms and facilities, a lot of activities in the place to keep you busy, amazing golf course to play on, the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating.Also located not too far activities one would look forward to doing, and a number of stores and restaurants in the area.Cannot recommend this place enough!

Aircon worked but needs a bit of attention as some functions did not work.The beds could be bigger for sharing and we found them a bit hard

The pool was super and we spent good time with the kids. The games time and the bar were a great stuff. Breakfast was very good.

The diner was not superb and there was no diversity of choices like it was a few years ago when we stayed in 2022.

The golf course and likely chalets that can accommodate groups well seems to be the appeal of this resort that is in need of updating. The staff were generally friendly but often lacked smiles. Buffet food was reasonable with good choice.

Room was very outdated and needs renovation. Bathroom was incredibly small. Restaurant was not air conditioned in any part which made for hot dinners in the middle of summer.
