Room size was terrible for the money

Being a paraplegic I was given this room to fit my needs without me requesting it.Everything and everyone there impressed me so much so that this hotel became my favorite place to stay.

The staff are amazing - helpful and friendly and professional. Made us feel right at home!

The property is old and rundown. Didn’t feel like we were at a fancy, Emperor’s Palace hotel but rather a cheaper hotel - clean and comfortable but not the opulence that I was hoping for.

The staff were great and breakfast good.

The rooms are small, and the hotel itself comes across as a bit tired and could do with some TLC.

Excellent location, close proximity to Emperors’ main arena and conference centre. I was upgraded to a suite and it was really so luxurious and amazing. So spacious with superb detail for comfort and care.

Air flow system was making a noise all night which was the only complaint.

It is located near the airport and is large enough to accommodate safari guests. Restaurants in the casino complex are diverse. The bed was fine, and the room was clean.

Our room was as small as a hotel room can be and not be called a closet. Not sure how anyone with girth could actually use the shower.

I enjoyed the stay. My room was just perfect even though I struggled on one of the twin beds. I think there was a mix up from the booking because I thought I had booked a room with one queen size bed.

Didn't get enough bottled drinking water in my room. Bottle sizes were just too small, but the hotel was kind enough to give me extras.

The room that I had booked had a problem with the safe I approached the front office desk and they immediately moved me to a nicer room at no extra cost, the whole experience and stay was exceptional and thank you to the staff and management.

The breakfast wasn't great. Extremely overpriced for a poor selection, and the coffee was just ok at best

Room was comfortable. Although the Airconditioner did not work. We reported it, but no result.

Airconditioning not working. Having a sweaty sleep. Reporting it did not help at all. Technician turned temp down, which we had done an hour before already. Room was uncomfortably Hot. They also committed to preparing us some breakfast to take away the next morning, as we were leaving early. They never did it. Lastly, and, most importantly, the Hotel is marketed as "close to O O Tambo Airport". This is true, however, if you have an earlier flight - before 09:00 in the morning, be prepared to pay for a Shuttle Service to the Airport. Theirs only start at 07:00. Their private early shuttle is also very expensive.

We wanted a comfortable hotel close to Joburg airport, but not in the airport “complex”. The Mondior hotel was ideal. The friendly greeting at reception upon our arrival made a great first impression. We found all the staff to be very helpful, friendly and engaging. The room was spotless, comfortable and couldn’t be improved.

Tap noise continuous throughout the night. Shower drain was blocked and flooded the entire bathroom.

BREAKFAST - JUST LIKE ANY OTHER BREAKFAST BUFFET, EXCEPT BEING SERVICE. TIME 9.30AM. BACON COLD AND HARD (NOT EVEN A KNIFE COULD CUT IT), TOMATOES COOKED HOURS BEFORE BEING SERVED, HASH BROWNS BEEN LYING IN HOT BOWL FOR DAR TOO LONG. EXTREMELY POOR FOR A 5 STAR HOTEL. TO CROWN IT ALL, BREAKFAST WAS PARR OF PACKAGE AND WAS CHARGED TO MY CREDIT XARD!!!!!

The hotel was ok, the staff were nice but I did not feel the customer service was up to a 4* rating.

The phone didnt work and it was impossible to get room service without running up and down. In the end I had to change rooms. At check in they didnt ask for a credit card and so when I went o charge things to my room it was not possible. I sent clothes out for washing and they did not inform when they came back, nor did they mention I need to pick up from the front desk as I did not have a credit card on file. The room was also noisy, the wind and garden maintenance could be heard while windows were closed. There was not many vegetarian options on the menu it is expected that you should go to the mail to get more options so they only room service options was a toastes Sandwich and french fries.

I liked the doreal hotel facilities

The fact that mondior is more expensive but did not have a pool and the breakfast buffet was not as good as the cheaper hotel metcourt .

Every year I check in it takes a while to confirm my booking I do not know why made with booking.com and have the booking reference paperwork.

Breakfast and people at reception was good, room should be mor clean and have some beverage inside

It was a stop over, we had a great time at the restaurants, bars and casino. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was great. Exactly what we were expecting.

Windows need a bit more noise proofing but the road noise didn’t keep us awake .
