This colonial-style bed & breakfast in Plettenberg Bay offers direct access to Robberg Beach via an 80-yard boardwalk. It features panoramic views of the ocean and Tsitsikamma Mountains. Free WiFi is available. The Southern Cross Beach House offers airy rooms that overlook the garden. They each have a TV and a private bathroom. Each guest room is located on the ground floor, has a private entrance and overlooks the garden. In the mornings, a full English breakfast is served. The breakfast patio and front garden features views of the ocean and Tsitsikamma Mountains An honesty bar with refreshing drinks is also available. The Southern Cross has a lush garden with sun loungers, where guests can enjoy whale and dolphin watching. The bed & breakfast also offers a cozy lounge. The Cross Beach is 2.5 mi from Plettenberg Bay city center and offers free private parking.

- Good access to the beach.
- Really lovely little guest house! Super friendly staff and a great breakfast. Its nice and quiet, with a short +/- 100m walk through the garden on a boardwalk to the beach. It was a bit cold when we visited, but the pool still looked super inviting. Its just outside the main town, which is great for avoiding the crowds just make sure youve got a car to get around.
- Ample breakfast - hot and cold options with gorgeous outside area overlooking garden and ocean view. Offer to source gluten free products was appreciated
Cons -
- Limited viewing on the TV.
- I really can't fault the guest house. If I had to complain about anything it would have to be the weather which can change on a dime, but that's more down to the time of year that we visited.
- The shared seating area was little cramped and could do with some decluttering. I cant imagine how full it must be when all 12 guests are in the house.
