- Way over my budget but so glad I stayed a night. It was such beautiful old lodge with awesome history to read about how it began as a humble home and to how it became what it is now..The spa and hammocks were beautiful and the complimentary kayaks/paddle boards free to use were so much fun You can explore the bay or past the boyes to your hearts content.I was upgraded to a Endeavor Suite for free which was absolutely incredible after walking along the Queen Charlotte Trail.I really really loved my entire experience along the Queen Charlotte Trail with the food, the people and Great places to stay..

Location spectacular. Huge comfortable rooms with lovely outlook.Restaurant food and wine impressive.
All great!
It was a beautiful location and the accomodation was lovely. Would just recommend keeping windows and blinds clean. The food was a bit underwhelming.
New shower block with hikers cabins
No fridge in room or in amenities block
Beautiful relaxed settting with very pleasant staff and comfortable cabins. Dining experience was a lovely surprise-excellent!
Some black mould in the shower.
Perfect location with beautiful garden area. Historic main building with cafe and restaurant. Large rooms.
No cake in the afternoon at the cafe.
We loved our stay here. The food was excellent and our lodge had a beautiful view that was wonderful to wake up to. Our cabin was comfortable with excellent facilities. Very enjoyable stay.
Perfect location, friendly staff, great food. We’ll be back!
Really nice place. Beautiful location. Stayed in the suites. Lots of room. Good beds. Extra pillows hot water and water pressure good
Poor internet. No tv. Internet was not very good.
Beautiful location, wonderful view. Very comfortable bed.
We were cold in the evenings. The weather was unseasonably cold
We stayed in a Cooks Cottage. Gorgeous rooms. Friendly staff, we arrived early for check in due to changes in plans and our room was available quickly. Such a relaxing atmosphere. Love the bar and restaurant on site. Food was great. My toddler loved exploring the foreshore. Couldn’t fault it. Everything was really well organised.
Stunning location, great food and wine in the old pub
We absolutely loved our stay! Once we figured out the transportation to get to the lodge, everything was easy and well organized. It’s a fabulous place to be both active and relax: it’s right on the Queen Charlotte Track, we borrowed the kayaks, and we swam in the water. We also enjoyed sitting in the hammocks and relaxing in the hot tub. The food was delicious (though I found the prices a bit high for NZ) and enjoyed in their lovely dining room or patio. The service was great! We can’t wait to come back!
Stunning location Rooms were beautiful Superb cuisine
Sadly not all the staff were as friendly. The scenery was spoilt by the wooden packaging left on the lawn and piles of dirt in front of the room.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were so lovely and the restaurant had amazing food! Room was modern & clean. The bed was so comfortable, especially after a long day of walking the Queen Charlotte Track.
We thought it was a little odd that our room didn’t have a tv in it.
Location very senic, excellent bar staff, comfortable, excellent hot tub
Beautiful setting, friendly staff, comfortable cabin.
Construction work going on - which is OK - but, materials, spoil and machinery in front of our cabin impacting the view, builders blasting hip-hop music until 5pm and no acknowledgement from staff or effort by staff to limit construction impact. Seriously detracting. Didn't deliver 5-star service.
Beautifully decorated and clean room with Stunning views of the sea and mountains Staff exceptional, very friendly Couldn’t fault it
