Pros +
- Loved the location and facilities. Wonderful and friendly young staff!
- Stunning location. Great room with views. Lovely staff.
- This location is simply beautiful. It's spectacular. Staff are very nice.
Cons -
- Loved it all.
- I have to be honest and I shared this with the front desk, that I was really disappointed in our room. We paid nearly $1000 for two nights. There was a signifiant amount of black mold in the shower grouting (this is a maintenance issue not a cleaning issue), our room was only half cleaned on second day (dirty dishes and coffee maker and garbage left, bed unmade) and the room needed a deep clean of the baseboards and kitchen grouting. I would have been fine with all this if the room was say 200 or 250 a night or a backpacker lodge. But at nearly $500 a night, felt like we got a bit robbed on the room. That's my honest opinion and if I was the owner of the business, I'd be embarrassed because you can do better.
- It was a very cold day and there was nowhere to go to keep warm once we had vacated our room.

Location fabulous with excellent views of the bay and inlet from the room. Great to have a hot soak after a walk.

I had a wonderful stay at Punga Cove. The accommodation was generous and comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond by organising a birthday cake for one of our group. There were also plenty of activities to keep us entertained throughout our stay.
Great location and friendly staff. The restaurant and facilities were really good too.
The A frame cabin where we stayed was outdated and lacking better design. I am a tall person and it was really complicated to move in some areas, especially the bathroom. The internet only worked in a few places inside the room, close to the entry door. If we were in bed, the wifi signal wouldn't work.I understand the resort is on a prime location, but we feel that for the price we paid we should have more comfort in the room.
Great check in process - staff friendly and attentive. They even had plasters for sale by the box if you needed something for blisters! A life saver. A frame chalet we stayed in had a great view and we close to everything. Restaurant had yummy food with a view. We will be back in summer.
Good restaurant with reasonable prices
A frame unit very uncomfortable for anyone who is a little taller than the average male. Shoulders keep hitting the walls.
Absolutely stunning location, and the staff were fantastic. I did find it a little overpriced as my room didn't have a great view, and I think that for the price, breakfast could have been included. However, cannot fault the location - which is what you are paying for - and the staff that work there.
Awesome location within Marlborough Sounds and close to the Queen Charlotte Track. Lovely views from the restaurant. Good food and wine too.
Room was a little cramped
Suite with nice view over the bay. Good restaurant in the evening with a good selection of food. Staff very friendly. Grassy area at the beach.
Staff a bit superficial at the beach cafe. No cake in the afternoon. No aircondition in the room.
Having previously stayed here whilst doing the Queen a charlotte track a couple of years back, we decided to come as rest and enjoy guests for a birthday celebration. We stayed in unit 10, a 2 bedroom house high in the hill with incredible views (see photo with glass balustrade on deck - huge). Couldn’t have been better:)
Gosh, you’d be scraping the bottom of the barrel to find something you didn’t like. It would be not a location for someone with accessibility needs. The resort runs up a hillside - which affords it incredible views.
Really nice cabin. Great view. Beds and pillows are good. Hot water and water pressure good
All of the resort is in a hill.
We had a great stay at Punga Cove. The small hut was very clean, equipped with everything we needed and had a lovely ocean view. The staff is super friendly and will help wherever it is needed. Easy Check-In and Check-Out.Thanks for everything!
Beautiful location. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and modern. Cafe and restaurants both had delicious food choices. We would love to stay again!
Staff were friendly, and very patient with some demanding boaties. Fantastic to see managers dealt really well with a very loud boat party at night. Our A-frame chalet was nice. It was good to see the cafe and bar on the jetty was running. Great for hikers to see the spa and pool.
Restaurant was nice but needs to include a few more fresh veges in the menu. It looks like the jetty cafe had been rebuilt and would be good to see a sail cloth and lights added.. Pity it closes so early noŵ.
Stunning location. Comfortable bed. Some outstanding friendly staff. On queen Charlotte track and was able to do some really lovely walking whilst being in one location. Great balcony , nice toiletries . Views were outstanding from accommodation.
No chef, so advertised menu wasn’t what was available. Limited choice of food and mediocre quality, expensive for what it was. No coffee machine or fresh milk in room. Although fresh milk available on request. No duvet cover on duvet. Duvet was synthetic so either over heated or threw off and then got a bit chilly. No manager to escalate our feedback. Slightly frosty reaction to what we had intended to be constructive feedback by one staff member. The South African guy was lovely as were nearly all the staff. Fantastic location and only needs a decent chef and a few tweaks to some good quality linen and this place would be faultless .
Lovely stay along the Queen Charlotte track. Has everything you need after a day of walking. Hot tub pool stunning views from room and the restaurant. Staff 10/10 too
The location is perfect if biking the Queen Charlotte track. It was great place to stay as the views are amazing. The rooms were suited our situation as we were travelling with another couple. We had a meal at the restaurant which was convenient and enjoyable.
The property was a little tired and needs a refreshing.
Very nice chalets with a fantastic view on the ocean. Super clean rooms, tea and coffee and a spacious bathroom with enough towels! Very friendly staff and management!
Poor wifi access in our chalet (no 4)
