B&B Hôtel Castres Centre Gambetta

The member of staff on duty during our stay was very helpful and efficient. He was also there at breakfast, which was good and plentiful, and the breakfast room was clean and welcoming The room was a good size and comfortable. Good location with carpark very close. Could do with more than one pillow, but no big deal.

Vending machine didn't deliver after taking payment.

Spacious rooms and very clean, comfortable and quiet

Terrible check in process. No one at reception, very glitchy screen which was very difficult to use, really frustrating

The hotel was clean comfortable and the rooms were so quiet at night time. The location was central within walking distance of everything. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was lovely. Overall it was really good value.

Location

Cleanliness. The bathroom had not been properly cleaned the floor was dusty with human detritus as per photo. Quite disgusting.

The room was clean and warm. It was central to the town but was very quiet and well resourced. The room was large and was close to the supermarket, bars and restaurants.

We had 3 safety evacuations in the 3 days we stayed there. Totally understand that safety comes first but it was only us and the cleaning staff that evacuated.

Quick and easy stay.

Couldn’t open windows, no bath mat provided so it was difficult to keep bathroom dry

Modern hotel. Near town centre, good facilities.

The automatic check-in system didn't work for us. An explanation in the "booking.com" info would help. We waited in a bar until the staff arrived, no problem then.

Good budget hotel, staff, rooms and breakfast were very good.

Breakfast was really good.Coming from Canada we found the bathroom a bit small.Staff was really friendly We had a good time.

Basic, clean, central & for approx €9 an excellent breakfast

The location is great and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioning was definitely needed. There is car park right behind the hotel.

Limited towels; only one per person for everything. Staff not very welcoming and not efficient for the breakfast. When we went for breakfast at 08:00; there was almost nothing left. The staff was clearing up the tables but not bringing more drinks or food.

Reasonable quiet locationComfortable bed

No working aircon / opening windowsNo coffee tea making facilities Possibly being used as social accommodation,Wouldn’t recommend for lone female traveller

Great location. Friendly staff. Breakfast was OK.

Room was small and we had to store our bikes in our room. Windows did not open.

Very quiet. Easy to navigate. Good for people on their own.

Spacious room, well located in the city centre of Castres with easy access to the main attractions.Quiet hotel and good value for moneyWiFi also works well if you need to work from your room

Good location in the centre of town. Parking in the Gambetta car park was convenient and well priced.

Location

Strongly smell, entirely of tobacco even though there is a no smoking sign.

Beds were comfortable, clean and location very quiet. Main issue was difficulty gaining entry. Warned not always manned but actually only anyone around at breakfast time! Took a number of calls and stress to finally gain a code and work out which machine to press! Seriously frustrating! Breakfast was ok, but 9.30 was too late for eggs apparently. Staff on duty were helpful but disappointing not to be able to enjoy. Bread and yoghurt were fine. Kettle for room would have been good too….

See above- explanation to be able to enter the hotel and which machine to press. Surprised no staffing. It was good value but lacked any atmosphere, due to no staff- nor local maps.

Room felt nice and clean and bed and pillows were comfortable. Close to town and amenities and lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Good for an easy short stay. Could check in with a code when reception was unmanned. Helpful staff and very nice breakfast with pastries and some hot items.

Smallish room, not much wardrobe space. Parking nearby was quite expensive.

It’s the only reasonably priced hotel in Castres. It’s also in a good spot and the staff were quite nice. The bed was also very comfy.

I mean it’s fine. It’s a chain hotel that delivers exactly what it says it will. I also did not like that the hallway to my room was ~9000 km long.
