Cons -

  • very poor bed. No space in room. In bathroom you cannot get out of the shower without hitting the sink. Very thin walls, very noisy you can hear neighbours chatting all night. Everything is extra charge. Fake sjiek… try to look top end but basic even food quality average at best. Everything depleted at the breakfast buffet. Eggs one runny mess, pancakes cold, bread mostly unhealthy choices, yoghurt runny texture of milk.
  • Food options for dinner in the bar
  • Room not made up properly during stay Very small rooms sometimes noisy from the parking lotA bit overpriced versus the comfort

Well situated hotel on side of sea/ river. Great spa facility (sauna by the sea was a highlight) and the staff were really helpful and friendly. I couldn't have breakfast as had to leave early but they did a lovely packed breakfast, and shout out to the bubbly friendly woman on the desk at 5am in the morning - so bright and helpful it really lifted my day.

The area in front of hotel was obviously just used or about to be used for a big event so had some building site/ event kit lying around and was not a good ambience. My room was right at the back with car park view even though I had paid over market rates due to late booking - so that was disappointing. The bed (twin room) was really uncomfortable as the topper mattress kept sliding off the bed underneath during the night - which was not great.

Lovely location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast and high cleaning standards.

Booked two moderate rooms for two people. The rooms are too small and the beds in one of the rooms was squeaky just by sitting on it.

Gorgeous suites with impressive water views. Love the sunroom seating in the deluxe suite. Fantastic breakfast!

Location was good

It didn’t value the money I believe, a bit pricyWas in the second floor first, the rum smelling and changed to the first floor, cleaning can be better ( found hair in the counter av bathroom), In the lobby refrigerator found ice creams were out of date ( 2022) , maybe it’s better throw them away instead of selling them half a price

Location ok

Bit 'worn out' impression, relatively small older rooms for the money. No warm water in the room/shower. Informed the reception about this but not too much interest....

Classic yacht club resort right on the waterfront! Will be a featured hotel in our upcoming travel guides. We appreciated the quiet elegance, definitely a destination for peace and tranquility while at the same time we were able to experience several fantastic events, including a yacht brigada/party with music and an exciting 2 days of jetski racing. Dinner was an evening out event with well dressed ladies and gentlemen. Breakfast was simple, nothing extravagant even on Sundays, but still a delight. The resort itself is built into the hillside, so rooms go up floors and down to the waterfront. With 200 rooms and suites things can be quite busy, but it never felt crowded. Overall showing it's age a bit but part of the nostalgia.Everything was clean and in good order. We appreciated the wood floors in the room, and the excellent ventilation in the bathroom. Lots of lighting choices for ambiance including a few nautical themed heat lamps. The floor to ceiling windows with overhead window panels in the veranda area was an extra special touch. How wonderful to look up and see the clouds, birds, etc.Staff was mostly friendly. We appreciated the express check out line. Housekeeping cleaned out room the first day while we're at breakfast, which was wonderful, but then the next two days didn't get to us until late in the day. Please consider allowing loading and unloading in the circle if the guest is conscientious enough to pull off to the side and not block the way, especially as there is no valet or bell service. We really were not going to park 300' away and drag eight bags, cart or no cart.

Room prices are higher than expected given size/quality,/etc especially as the pool/spa is not included. Breakfast and pool/spa should be the standard, with dinner and other extra as add ons.

Breakfast was good, Location war good

Advertise a room with a 140cm bed as double room is not propriate. Not possible to have a relaxed sleep for two adult persons. Not possible to upgrade. Rooms with a bed 140cm should have been announced as a single room or children room.

Great location, fresh and clean and perfect for families.

Spa should be open for kids also all day.

8JarlPosted on: 7-12-2023

The lunch at the outside restaurant.

No extra pillow, small bed

Great breakfast buffet. Wonderful views. Convenient location. Lots of space.

Lack of USB charging point in the de luxe rooms. Somewhat iffy bathroom design which made it difficult to avoid getting water over much of the floor.

Location of the hotel is great right by the water, lots of parking and amazing spa!!! Staff was welcoming and helpful and breakfast offers a choice for everyone. I book smaller room as I'm solo traveller but still was good size and spacious, will stay again.

I only stayed for one night on my way up north in Sweden. The room was nice but the view of the parking space was not very charming.

I had dinner when I arrived but the choice on the menu was very limited and not good value for money.

Fabulous building with good facilities.Made very welcome. Very helpful and friendly service. Breakfast amazing. Restaurant food while small options excellent in quality. Reception staff couldn't do enough to help, Ellen was exceptional.

First room very small and dark due to location, moved without any issues to a much better room. There were several options of rooms and packages of rooms and use of leisure facilities without charge that weren't offered on booking. Com.

Nice location. Potentially good restaurant with stunning view. Service friendly. but not appropriate. Got starter with wine almost immediately after the aperitif.

Congested breakfast. Long lines to get food and coffee. Room without view.

Very nice and service minded staff

The whole place is in need of a renovation. The spa was okay but several of the couches and cushions were dirty and had huge stains on them. The quality of bathrobes, towels, locker rooms etc. wasn’t even remotely near to meet the standard you’d expect from a hotel charging 2000 SEK for a standard room and 175 SEK for a glas of lukewarm rosè at the spa bar. The restaurant was out of lots of the dishes on the menu and the “snack” (pre baked baguette you buy at the supermarket and some humus took almost 30 min to get to the table. The salad I ordered as main dish was lacking half of the ingredients that was described on the menu.
