hotel was amazing with many ammenties, amazing location and very clean hotel and rooms

price is the only downside here but was worth the money

Poor Internet connection.

Breakfast was designed to serve people from many locations and interests. Staff exceptional in service. I was surprised that the hotel took such care to protect the environment. People could enjoy the sounds, smells of the forest. And it didn’t feel like we interfered too much on the life of the communities.

Beautiful hotel and its surroundings . Spacious room and comfortable bed. Free shuttle to airport and National Park. I had a nice surprise on return from our morning excursion , they decorated my room with Birthday cards and balloons and a towel birthday cake on the bed as well as a chocolate birthday cake too !! All the excursions booked through the hotel start from within the hotel and with lunch and snack and a smaller group. The price is more expensive than the excursions from the National Park but it is definitely worth it.

Food in the restaurant was fair although the buffet breakfast and dinner selection was really big. Hard to expect too much in such a remote area.

We loved our stay. A beautiful, peaceful setting, the price included buffet breakfast and dinner which were tasty, plentiful and catered for vegetarians. The staff were friendly, special call out for Donny, and professional. The accommodation was spacious and clean. The shuttle service to and from the airport and park was reliable, and there was good wifi in the bar/reception area.

The property was beautifully set out, nestled among the jungle. We enjoyed use of the swimming pool throughout the day and were pleasantly surprised at the range offered within the included breakfast buffet. Al la Carte options were expensive compared to other small restaurants in the area although we found these quite walkable. An included shuttle bus made it easy to explore the National Park and reach the airport.

On our arrival the property was experiencing a power outage for several hours and there did not seem to be a backup generator? WIFI was only available in the main areas, some distance from the rooms.

Location was brilliant- really clean, good quality bedding and towels, big rooms and lovely bathrooms

We lost power for a few minutes on a couple of occasions but it was very quickly restored. No wifi in bedrooms but it is a very locate location. I managed to get signal on my phone though.

Comfy beds, lush surroundings, close to the caves, very nice stuff. During every night walk form the diner to your room spot stick insects, cicadas, bats etc etc

Food was ok. All has to be either flown in or brought in by boat

We had a wonderful stay and would recommend Mulu Marriott Resort as a base to expore Mulu. Staff was super nice, the hotel provides transport to the park office and airport pretty much around the clock. Great to relax by the pool after a hike or get a spa treatment.

We didn‘t try any of the lunch/dinner options, but there are cafés nearby too if you wanna try something else.

Disconnect from the outside world

If you book the promoted rate offered by the hotel (which is likely the lower rate), there will be no WiFi available in the room. In addition, there's absolutely no Digi 5G signal or mobile data connection throughout the hotel.If you're intentionally looking to disconnect from the outside world, this might be the place for you. Otherwise, think twice before choosing the hotel’s promotional rate—you may end up completely cut off from the outside world.To have internet access, you'll likely need to book a higher-rate room.

The location was beautiful. Amazing greeting on arrival, that's when fab customer service ends. Room was lovely. Breakfast was great - good selection. Loved the transport to/from airport & park - an open truck.

The shop never opens during advertised hours. Had to ask for it to be opened - but still had to wait 40 mins. Had an afternoon by the pool. Wanted drinks, so went to the pool bar & waited and waited for about 10 mins. No staff around - so I went to the central bar, waited and waited - again no staff. So, I went to Reception, in swimwear, (that didn't feel right) to ask if bars were open - told they were and they should be manned. Eventually someone came to the pool bar & told us the staff were in the main restaurant (which was not open) and we should have gone in there to find someone! The hotel was less than half full.....lots of staff seemed to be buzzing around but no-one ever available to serve the very few guests. Had the same problem on the bar on an evening - tried to order again from the outside bar, drinks & snacks - told to go to the main bar - but not manned - so again had to go to reception to ask for some service.

Location in the jungle is brilliant, amazing to relax

Whether we were heading to Mulu National Park or the airport, the hotel staff always arranged transportation for us with the utmost speed, ensuring excellent time management. Furthermore, during our several meals at the restaurant, we were extremely grateful for the attentive service provided by the staff member, Najmamunifah. Over the course of these meals, we became friends, and we appreciate her warm and dedicated service.

The hotel initially stated that Wi-Fi was limited to the lobby. While our room, 236, confirmed this lack of signal, we found a reliable connection in room 238. If the hotel could extend the Wi-Fi coverage, it would be much easier for us to look up information during our travels.

The room was very comfortable with good air conditioning and ceiling fan. Bathroom was modern and luxurious although I couldn't get very hot water from the shower (would have been good after a very wet trek).

TV reception was not good while we were there and there was no wifi available in the rooms, only at the lobby area.

Peaceful stay and great facilities. There is also a free shuttle bus between the hotel, airport and the Mulu national park. Staff were brilliant and very friendly. As a bonus they even upgraded my room which was a lovely gesture. Highly recommended.

WiFi is only available in the common areas and not your rooms. Didn’t personally bother me as I wasn’t there for work and my signal was fine but could be for others.

Just exceptional! The staff were delightful, and although we're not really Christmas people, they went out of their way to make it a very memorable one.The location is idyllic and utterly relaxing, as was simply sitting with a glass of wine on an open terrace listening to the incredible soundtrack of the rain forest. Great information, support, and service to and from the National Park.It's a long way from where we call home, but how we would love to go again..
