With an beautiful beachfront location overlooking the Indian Ocean, this boutique guest house provides 22 spacious rooms. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. It features an outdoor swimming pool. Rooms at The Bay are decorated in white and gray with a dash of pink or turquoise. They have an private bathroom with an open shower and a hairdryer. Rooms are air conditioned and fitted with ceiling fans. Set in a tropical garden, the open-air restaurant offers al fresco dining under a thatched roof. In the morning guests can enjoy a continental or English breakfast while admiring views of the lagoon. The bar is open all day, and the restaurant at The Bay also offers live music entertainment on Friday and Saturday evenings. Guests can make use of bicycles and explore the village. Surfing at Tamarin Bay is only 1.2 mi away. Other nearby leisure activities include kite surfing, scuba diving and swimming with dolphins. The Bay is a 5-minute walk from Black River town center with its many shops, bars and restaurants. Sir Seewoosagur Airport is a one-hour drive away and free private parking is possible on site.

- Emilie was an impressive person to welcome and on the reception desk. She was professional and competent. The room was comfortable and the view lovely. The views depend on the room you book - we had opted for seaview and it had a balcony, and it was lovely. Eating dinner there was also good value, tasty and in a nice setting. Swimming just outside the hotel was handy and plenty to see with a snorkel. The location was handy, particularly for going south.
- We had a wonderful stay at The Bay. The pool and the beach are really nice, the food and cocktails are great too. The breakfast was delicious. We appreciated the fresh exotic fruits. The staff is friendly, Emily helped us a lot with all excursions. She provided us a great driver who took us on all the trips. I also appreciated Benedicth, who cleaned our room every day and left us flowers. Thank you all! The sunset was stunning every night.

Cons -
- The hotel was pretty great. The traffic on the island was pretty bad at times so it was helpful to plan to visit things in the areas close to the hotels we stayed at.
