    Pros +

    • Design design design location view so so special
    • Location, nature, architecture, delicious dinner, nice breakfast, view
    • Natural surroundings are beautiful and quiet. Interesting architecture and history.

    Cons -

    • Room slightly small but the view and special design made up for it!
    • Could use some fresh-up.
    • Unfortunately, our room was the upper side of the room, so the view was not "amazing". Furthermore the room was very cold, and the reception said that the air recirculation won't be possible to deactivate it, so, the night was very windy and cold...

Amazing place, incredible landscapes. It is located in a very cozy town, with a fabulous view of the lake and mountains. There are hiking trails nearby. The hotel has a very original design. Very comfortable beds. Friendly owners and staff in general. You can eat delicious local dishes. I highly recommend.

Lovely scene, brilliant staff and perfect for a couple of days away not to think about anything. Would recommend 2 for leisure (tops).

In summer, there is literally no option for food outside the hotel itself. All other options are out of season and require 1-2 hours driving to.

Food was fantastic, we had a beautiful dinner and an equally wonderful breakfast. The view from our room was stunning. The overall design and vibe was really nice.

Nothing, I would love to go back!

The location and the view from both the restaurant and the room was breathtaking. The bathroom was small, but clean and had all nessessary amenities, the bed was comfortable.

The room could have had some wall hooks, since there was only a small rack, but if you hang anything there the clothes are in the way when you are walking in the room. There was so much of wall space and I think hooks would have been a better/extra option.

Modernist gem too remote for mass tourism which now afflicts many parts of Norway. Restaurant featuring local produce with stunning views. Rooms are compact and minimalist befitting the style of the hotel but feature huge panoramic windows.

The decoration, the food and the lovely staff.

    Just beside a electrical plant.

Good breakfast, lake view, interesting village. Very quiet. Lounge next to our room was useful due to small space in room.

Exterior stairs and bridge were the only way to access our second floor room. There was no stair railing, and the situation was quite dangerous in the pouring rain. In the room, the curtains were not properly fastened to the rod and hung down in gaps. There were only two pegs on the wall to hang clothes, and no pegs for towels in the bathroom. In general, it seemed like the place needed more attention to maintenance. Price was quite high for the quality of accommodation.

Amazing views in this 1960's historic building. The owners were super helpful and explained us more about the building and history. Breakfast was great, and we also had a good dinner here!

Due to the history, the rooms are a little small for modern standards (lacking a closet). There are some small signs that maintenance is needed here and there. However, it's easily one of the best views I've woken up to.

The food was amazing. The views were stunning. The staff was very welcoming and friendly.

The house needs some renovating (the color on the walls outside are cracked etc.) Looks a bit different from the pictures

Tranquil, located in an beautiful small town. Quiet, well equipped.

Beautiful location, absolutely gorgeous architecture and interior design, amazing food. We had an absolutely fabulous stay.

Sauna was fantastic but we didn't realise it would cost extra!

Stunning view from room, comfy beds, friendly staff. Cool 60s style.Plenty of charging plugs.

There was a certain scent in the room, perhaps the vinyl floor.Room building was cool, but hotel itself not a beautiful building.

    7DanielPosted on: 8-3-2024

Surroundings and the view, the design of the furniture in the lobby.

Rooms are more minimalist than functional. Example: missing coat hooks. The rooms and some corridors are poorly ventilated, warm and stuffy. Some furniture already badly worn down.

Design of the hotel, the view from the hotel and the friendly staffs.

    8GeorgiosPosted on: 7-16-2024

Excellent Location, clean rooms, great staff

Relatively old building and furniture. Breakfast did not have a lot of variety.

    8VanessaPosted on: 7-15-2024

The view is great and the breakfast was really good. It is served on a plate and we really liked it.

The room was really small and yes, it is a design hotel, but the room is a bit outdated.
