Pros +
- Modern, clean, beautiful! One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in
- We stayed a few days at the end of our Basque tour and what a wonderful decision! We booked a room with the spa included and again a great choice. Highly recommend to relax and reset the body for onward travels. The bathroom was also very nice. The tub is large for a hot solo bubble bath and the separate shower was also very large. The toilet had its own door. In the trend of glass bathroom walls this hotel does it right because the privacy in the bathroom isn't lost. The property felt secluded but is easily connected to the old town by bus. Worth every bit for quality and service.
- I hadn’t stayed in a hotel this good in a long time. From the moment I arrived, there was an incredible sense of quiet luxury throughout the entire property. Everything was spotless, and the room was outstanding—beautiful design, excellent domotics, and a great shower with perfect water pressure. The breakfast was unbelievable. The lady managing the breakfast area had exceptional attention to detail, and it showed in the quality and presentation of everything. The spa was also very nice, and I only wish I had booked more than just one night. The staff at reception were highly committed, welcoming, and spoke very good English, which made the whole experience even smoother.
Cons -
- I couldn't figure out how to turn off the overhead light in the bathroom. Which for late night use shines on the bed when the door opens and closes. But this is probably a user error and I probably should have asked. The staff is highly trained and professional to meet demands.
- If there’s one thing that bothered me, it was having to purchase 3-euro flip-flops for the spa when the room already provides spa shoes. Having to charge for something so small takes away a bit from an otherwise flawless luxury experience.
- SPA is not worth it, only 2 small saunas available and you need to wait for one be unoccupied (per 2 people max.)

Great rooms, location and design of the hotel.

It was clean and had a nice gym
The room did not have AC during our stay. We were asked to leave the window open all night to cool the room a bit. This should have been clearly stated on the booking details

Fantastic staff, beautiful setting and great location
Beautiful hotel
Very clean, sustainable, nicely decorated, spa area
Unfortunately, the spa was unavailable due to an electrical issue. We were disappointed as the spa was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel.
Beautiful setting and aesthetics. Comfortable rooms Excellent staff, Ibai at the reception was very helpful, great location for those wanting to avoid the chaos but still be close enough to get to the main area. Having a car makes things a lot easier, parking is very easy to access in the main center with plenty of garages everywhere.
Nice architecture and amazing staff. Breakfast was great.
Location is not perfect but I booked the hotel for the nice pool at the roof. However pool was closed. They did inform me upfront but messages were lost in other emails. Conclusion: without pool open, rather expensive for the location
Design is great
AC and room ventilaton did not work so we needed to sleep with open windows and from 6am the traffic noise is unbearable:(
Very comfortable, peaceful, well designed rooms, nice facilities
Breakfast was overpriced
Hotel design
Small room, small pool, far from city , overpriced
Location, fresh air, beautiful design
no questions, everything was fine
Everything at the hotel was simply wonderful. All of the staff members were so nice and friendly. The hotel was extremely clean and spacious with very nice rooms and cool design. The Outdoor Pool at the hotel was very picturesque and the breakfast at the hotel had to be one of the best hotel breakfasts we've had in a good long while. We will most definitely return again and recommended anybody looking for a nice hotel in San Sebastián to stay here. You certainly will not regret it.
The building itself is ok nothing over the top but nice facilities
Check in was poor. We arrived early and instead of being told “welcome, sadly the room won’t be able before 3pm though you could enjoy the pool on the meantime or go to the spa” we were welcomed by a blond prison warrant who replied to my “hola we have a reservation” by “Check in is at 3pm. Then they proposed to keep the luggage and only when I insisted we needed to get changed in a toilet or changing area they proposed the use of the spa. The first day the room was not cleaned despite the clean my room sign being on the whole day except 4 to 4:30 when we came back from the city and changed to go to the pool. The water and coffee pods were not refilled over the 3 days even once. When we called to report it, nobody brought any. So on the way out we asked at the reception who took note and… we still didn’t receive anything…The bins were not empty. They even forgot a spare pillow case on the desk. The duvet is between 2 sheets and not into a duvet cover which is really poor standing and limit from an hygiene point of view. In the evening we went to the restaurant terrace on -1 to have a drink but after over 15mn waiting I had to go inside to ask for service. Once they came, I asked for an iced latte and they couldn’t propose any iced drinks. I understand how you can’t in bodega but this is supposed to be a luxury property… The pool area is quite nice, and for some reason the terrasse next to it where you can have a glass of wine is no smoking…. For the price we paid it was absolutely not worth it ! A true let down. This team needs better leadership with training and communication at the heart of the learning.
beautifully designed hotel, very calming. nice facilities, nice breakfast and comfortable rooms.
you have to pay to use the spa
The bath tub was really nice. The rooftop pool was nice as well. The cafe was nice and the service there was great Kristina especially rocked.
Check-in was supposed to be at 15:00, but I was told my room wouldn’t be ready until 16:00. I waited at the pool, where I was charged 5 euros for a single beer—an excessive price.I had booked this hotel in part because of the babysitting service, hoping to enjoy a spa day. When I asked about it, they told me to choose a time, but then informed me the spa was fully booked for my entire 4-day stay. Their policy says reservations need to be made 24 hours in advance—not before arrival—so I was shocked they had no availability. They offered to contact me if a spot opened up. They never did.Worse, the babysitting service was 40 euros per hour, with the hotel adding a 30% surcharge—completely unreasonable.Other frustrations:The AC never cooled below 23°C, even when set to 18°C.The blinds were extremely difficult to operate.Housekeeping came at 10:00, too early for me to be out of the room, so I missed it.I asked for my bag to be delivered from storage (after they offered to hold it pre-check-in), but they refused without the ticket. After I provided it, they still brought the wrong bag.Overall, the service was poor, the experience was full of small inconveniences, and none of it felt worth the price. I won’t be returning.
If you like modern this is a very good choice. The spa was very nice. Good breakfast. While out of town, which provides calm, a pretty convenient bus takes you downtown. But it doesn’t run very late
Rooms a bit small. Not much place to put suitcases or drawers to put clothes. Out of main part of town which has both advantages and disadvantages
This is truly an exceptional hotel. I loved its proximity to the forest, which was healing and relaxing. Our room, a junior suite, was spacious and beautiful. overlooking the trees. The meals were wonderful, both dinner and breakfast. A short taxi ride took us to San Sebastian, which is a lovely city on a strikingly beautiful harbor. I highly recommend this small, luxury hotel, and would love to return.
There is nothing to complain about here!
