HOTEL ARRiZUL BEACH

The location was perfect and the hotel was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the refrigerator and complimentary drinks. The housekeeping was amazing.

The Air Conditioning and location was excellent!

Size of room was really small. No windows - felt a bit claustrophobic. No staff on premises - no extras, every communication was via What's App. Interior of lobby smelled terrible.

There was no reception desk and no staff at the hotel except for a cleaning lady. However, once you figure out how to contact the hotel office by e-mail or whatsapp, they are very accommodating and helpful.

Probably more explanations about there being no staff at the hotel. Also, they send the door code by e-mail and what'sapp which you cannot get without internet access if you are travelling from overseas. They could send it about one week or at least a few days before the departure.

Good location a short walk from the old town

Poor soundproofing between rooms meant that we could hear other guests through the walls. We could even hear people snoring! Location next to a busy road meant that there was significant road noise. This meant that sleep was frequently disturbed

I booked „Arrizul Beach“ but got upgraded to „Arrizul Congress“ there, you receive free water, coffee, soda, cava plus a free mini bar.Great location. Super clean. Nice hosts.

Dark room

They actually upgraded us to the Hotel, Arrizul Congress, just down the street, which supposedly was an improvement. It was very comfortable, convenient, and clean.

I arrived early at the hotel and there wasn't a room ready so they upgraded to me one of their other hotels a block away for no additional charge.

The room space is not accurate. It mentions 15sqm but in fact the room is smaller. We stayed in a double room. Maybe they count the room plus the bathroom. But it makes all the diference mainly because we were for working purpose and the space was very thight and with lack of natural light. The window was for a backyard and in the earlymorning we eard a lot of noise from the staff of the other buildings. The pillow and mattress could be better. The shared space that is in the pictures wasnt activated. There is no shared room in -1 for small meals preparation.

The facility was nice, room was clean with modern furnishings and a comfortable bed. Located right across the street from the convention center (if you're here for that), and just a short walk to Plaza Constitucion (pinctxos!). Free mini bar.

There is no staff on site - typically not a big deal but was a bit frustrating initially in my case. First, I unknowingly booked this room during the international film festival, which I'm sure resulted in me paying far more than I should have. Second, I arrived on a motorcycle (cross Europe moto trip) during said festival with all roads within 200m completely blocked off and traffic out the wazoo. I ended up taking 45 mins to circle around to finally find a route that got me a couple blocks away from Hotel Arrizul, I parked in what was absolutely not a parking space and begged a couple cops nearby to let me keep my bike there and keep any eye on my luggage for a few minutes while I ran over to the hotel on foot. I rang the buzzer and the guy on the other end starts giving me the pre-rehearsed speech of referring to instructions sent to me via Whatsapp. I explain to him how all traffic is blocked off and ask him what I can do for parking and he suggests parking across the street where it is also blocked off. We go back and forth for a few minutes and he eventually tells me to just google it myself! At this point I realize that not only is he not at the hotel, he's probably nowhere near San Sebastian and is completely oblivious of the absolute nightmare parking is going to be, so I give up and just refer to my Whatsapp instructions for getting into the room. I feel like for the cost of this room a warning regarding the road closures on arrival in addition to the standard check in instructions would have been warranted, or at least some knowledge of it by the staff.Otherwise my main criticism is that it was not conducive to good sleep - the AC panel bathes the entire room in a green light and the ceiling isn't very well insulated so you can hear every step and movement in the floor above.

Location

Room is extremely small and there is barely any space even for your luggage.Room was 24 hours long dark. Yes, there is a window but it is looking at the ventilation hole therefore you cannot even know if it is dark or bright outside.There is no reception. You are given a code to enter the building and your room by a WhatsApp number in exchange of your pass photo. Not sure how secure this is…

Fantastic property, exactly what we needed. Very close to zurriola beach. Lots of bars and only a short walk from old town. Smaller hotel linked to main hotel 5 minute walk away who were really helpful and allowed us flexibility with checking in and storing our suitcases. Would book again

We received a free upgrade to the nearby 4 stars hotel managed by the same brand.

The location is incredible. The bedrooms are decorated very nicely. One of our bedrooms was a good size.

One of our bedrooms was tiny. We wouldn’t book it again.
