Welcome Gros Hotel offers rooms in the Gros district of San Sebastián, just 5 minutes’ walk from Kursaal Convention Center, San Sebstián’s old town and Zurriola beach, also 10 minutes walk from La Concha Beach, Parte Vieja (Pintxos and Restaurants) and Modern downtown. Free WiFi is available. The renewed modern rooms include a TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries and a hairdryer. You will find many pintxos bars and traditional Basque restaurants in the surrounding area. Welcome Gros Hotel doesn't offer breakfast, but you can find a free coffe shop on the hall located at the entrancy of the hotel as well as a Bolleria available 24/7 for our guests. San Sebastián’s train and bus stations can be reached in a 5-minute walk from Welcom Gros Hotel. This property offers only morning reception service and in order to book it is essential to provide a mobile phone for the person staying and if it can be with WhatsApp much better for the accomodation and there is a 24-hour phone service for guests. - Good location, nice room with huge bed, whole place was very clean. Friendly receptionist. Mini fridge which was handy, great shower. Easy check-in with access code.
- Everything is really good and comfortable. Use a code to check in quickly and easily. When we arrived, the receptionist gave us a card that allowed us to enter and exit conveniently. The hotel is well located among tourist sites, and the city itself is stunning.
- Very efficiently run hotel. Extremely clean and tidy. Free coffee/tea/hot chocolate/cakes were a nice treat! Reception staff extremely helpful and welcoming. Short walk to the old town. Train and bus station were nearby.
Cons -
- The bed wasn't as comfortable as I'd have liked - a bit hard and didn't feel very good quality - but it was fine.
