Was surprised that there were no rooms that you could smoke in.

The room was beautiful with a great view of the square. Bed was comfortable and bathroom had a wonderful tub.

The parking is extremely difficult. When we arrived, the parking was full. It took us about 40 minutes to find a parking space nearby.

Great location. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants.

No free laundry accesible

Excellent location for beaches, restaurants and port. Car park is a bonus €18 for two motorcycles. Staff very helpful at check in. Coffee machine in room.

Good value, good location and helpful friendly staff.

The hotel was excellent overall, located very close to Sandinero Beach (playa 1 y 2 ) and the Magdalena area. It was clean and well-equipped with all the necessary facilities. The value for money was definitely worthwhile.

The location was amazing, very easy to walk to the beach and restaurants. The breakfast buffet was great and had good gluten free options too.

The hair drier didn't work and the lights were picky... more than one needed a couple tries to work. They have one of those places you put your key to turn on the power in the room - I had to either put both keys or one key and the room service menu in to get the lights to stay on.

Hotel feels a bit dated

I liked the location, the nearness of the beach and nearby restaurants, cleanliness and value

Parking was a problem, many spaces were not available as I believe their hotel was ground zero for a motorcycle rally and they closed off many parking spots for motorcycle parking. A bit far off from the center of the city.

Overpriced

Parking a disaster.Breakfast good but very busy.

It was very close to the Sardinero and some great restaurants. The room was very clean and comfortable. The outside terraza was a nice place for drinks. It is a beautiful part of Santander. We walked the one block to the paseo near the beach each night and ate breakfast at a local cafe.

Parking was not available, as it is first come first serve. My husband spent 30 mins circling the neighborhood waiting for a spot. The beds were quite firm, which may be a positive for some sleepers.

Excellent room and hotel. The gym should be larger, for such a large hotel.

Pillows were terrible, too hard and too thick. It felt like I was resting my head on a soccer ball, as a side sleeper it pushed me neck too far upward. There should be different pillows available, soft, hard, medium...etc. A very nice maid found me some softer, smaller pillows.Garage parking is far too expensive.

I like there was a free room. With parking. But. The room was OK. And close to the beach. I did like the ladies. Talking care of the floor I started.

I wanted, and booked this place, because of parking. But I was told parking on the street. It was not ni. After some waiting. I could parking. In the hotel area. Terrible the coffee. Is a machine ?in the breakfast area. Maybe in a two star hotel

I love Hotel Santemar, great building, great staff, very clean, very comfortable and my favourite location in Santander.

Location was great. Room was nice after getting changed from first one that smelled like a cigarette factory

Bar was depressive. Restaurant for breakfast could be better. No valet to handle luggage except for one person that did maintenance, repaired rooms and patiently assisted with luggage Also no concierge service. At one time was told by a very rude front office receptionist that she could not call restaurant to say I was on my way. Others in reception very nice. I guess you get a bad apple in the bunch

Great hotel. Very nice location. Easy to walk to city center. Close to the water. Staff were very helpful. Always willing to answer questions and assist. Room was spacious and clean.
