Hotel Picos De Europa

This is our “go to” in Santander (several times a year) when visiting family: right on the Alameda and just a block from the underground public parking. It’s not fancy but impeccably maintained, clean and connected to the fabulous cafe downstairs of the same name. Just know that the entrance is up a little alley and not visible from the main street. Also, you’ll need to park first. There’s no place to temporarily park to unload.

Our go to hotel in Santander. Stay often. Impeccably clean family run place with famously delicious food in their popular cafe on site: locals know. Also, terrific outside terrace food service right on the Alameda and also some standing cocktail tables right on the street for people watching.

The staff were excellent, they were very helpful, friendly and attentive to our needs. The fact the restaurant is located in the hotel is a big bonus. The breakfast was excellent and we had dinner two nights and the food was fantastic. The hotel is in a great location right in the centre of the city, close to all the shops and amenities. Taxi available outside the hotel to take you to the airport. All the group were so happy with the hotel and would come back again.

Room is very clean, like that!! Housekeeping on regular & Saturday do their job. Location is perfect, close to Bus Estacion.Staff do their best to help travelers for any question!!!Bottom line, affordable hotel with good staff!!

The hotel is in a great central location very close to shops, restaurants and bars. It’s also a short walk to the train and bus stations. The restaurant and bar served a good selection of food and drink and was very popular with the locals. Although the single bedroom was quite small, it was very clean and had everything I needed during my stay.Overall a perfect place for an overnight stop in Santander, as it was for me, or a longer stay in the city.

Clean room and bathroom

Rooms are 100% NOT soundproof as per the description. I could hear every word from everyone in all the rooms on my floor. It was very loud. The heater did not work all the time.

The staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good too. Everything was fine. The reception is open until late, which was really helpful.

Location great. The check in staff were good, with some English & were very helpful. Hotel occupants received 10% discount off lunch & dinner in the restaurant.

A minor thing, but could have soap & shampoo dispenser.

We loved the wonderful clean smell in the room! The bed was huge and very comfortable. I liked the living door between the bedroom, the dressing area and the bathroom. When either my husband or myself used the bathroom in the night, we weren’t disturbing each other. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every respect. Taxi rank was just outside the main door to the left. We were only there as a stopover prior to a flight back to the UK, but would love to come back and stay here for longer to explore Santander properly.

We found this hotel ideal for our 1 night visit to this city. Location was very central and also close to the bus station aswel . Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and we found it very quiet indeed. Found the WiFi to be good .

The only downside was that we found it a bit tricky to find the main entrance and thought this could have been better signposted to find.

Quality & cleanliness of room, friendly staff, excellent bar/restaurant on the ground floor - serving dinner until 11pm and also really good breakfast.

good value hotel, a 10 minute walk to lots of things. I really liked the bar downstairs - the breakfast was fresh, the service was friendly and a good place to have a drink in the evening. the staff were accommodating with leaving bags for early check-in. rooms nice and quiet, with AC.
