Pros +
- Considering the size of the facility, it was all managed well. Hotel room was quite big and clean. The food was amazing especially dinner. Staff were all kind and helpful. This place is heaven for kids since there's so many thing for them such as indoor swimming with waterslides and various indoor playground.
- Facilities, pool and adult area. The areas for kids are excellent.
- the place, ambience, facilities, children and family friendliness, great staff
Cons -
- The lunch was the only small problem since there were lot of people everyday stand in line to get foods. Some of the food was already gone during the lunch time.
- Our room key didn't work and it was really annoying to get someone to fix it and took a while . The cleaning ladies were actually the most helpful and nice from the whole staff (besides reception). The elevator to our room was really old and so I had to carry all our suitcases up 5 levels. Some of the staff were unfriendly (one was drunk in the day). The dinner and meals were either complicated to figure out and not so many options for lunch.
- I missed cooked vegetables for the meals (only fresh salads are provided), a kettle in the room would have been great help

Location
The Clener staff not well organised, not respected the privacy and not quiet The water of the pools cold
The location and kid friendly atmosphere
A few people didn't like seeing brown people in the sauna.
The receptionist was great, only point was due to him! Otherwise the cheap(ish) price is also nice
- not 4 stars but at most 3- very big, guest where treated like in a factory (resulting in bad service)- bad sign posts in hotel, easy to get lost (seriously!)- slippers cost money, robe available only for deposit (in a spa hotel?!)- meal quality was poor with cold dishes that missed the source advertised in the menu (though others told me the day before was better)- they send advertisements / spam over the booking.com message feature - they ask you to not bring bags for check in but go back to the car after (also check in queue goes out of the hotel as by the signs “only 15 min to check in” etc. posted outside.)- no minibar instead vending machines like in a cheap motel
The location of this hotel was great and staff was really friendly. I loved the dining experience, especially after hiking all day.
Someone, possibly another guest, entered our room with a key card the morning we were due to check out. I thought that was really odd but no one reached out when I mentioned it. Housekeeping also entered very quickly after the one knock. Just a heads up.
clean. This place is only for families with young children. Teenagers will most likely be board. if you are an adult couple looking for a relaxing weekend get away do NOT go here. I should have read the facility description closer. Nice place for young families. Staff spoke little English and struggled with Italian.
The surrounding mountains were breathtaking
Facilities of the Hotel, Friendly staff, very nice Spa and wellness area.
The food in general was good but the taste could have been better. For the lunch for all 3 days i could barely find different options than Pasta
wide choice of activities for kids. service at the restaurant was pretty fast which is a plus for family with small children. check-in was smooth.
poor cleanliness, both in room (suite) and in children area (chips, nuts, hairs, dust) everywhere. maintenance of common area was very poor (outdoor playground is really sad) playrooms are extremely outdated and not fully functional. same to be said for our suite (few lights out of order, card holder at the entrance broken). few things did not leave up to expectations: - petting zoo (5 chickens), - outdoor lake looks more like a pond kind yet inattentive staff at the restaurant: on a daily basis we had to ask for the same things couple of time.
I really enjoyed the diversity of relaxation (for adults) and play (for kids) areas. The desire to bring the place in the modern age with all the renovations. Dinner menu was great. Staff was really accommodating with my girl's intolerances. Although it felt very crowded (especially at table times), in rest, you could really find peace and serenity. Lots of walking paths close by, good for kids, as well.We also rented bikes from a place close by that offers a discounted price for Schneeberg's guests. We rented 2 rooms and we received an upgrade for the single room, my mother in law got to enjoy a modern room instead of an old one. The suite/apartment is huge and modern, I loved the space.
After a week, breakfast and lunch became a bit boring. Language was a bit of a barrier, but we knew that beforehand and we were lucky to have in our family an Italian speaking person. English is not standard for the staff.Bathroom trash was not cleaned from the room inhabitants before us, on the day of the check in, although we check in quite late.
Excellent hotel for a family vacation!
Some rooms are a bit outdated but it depends on the budget, you can upgrade to a newer room.
The wellness areas and the mountain views from the balconies were absolutely amazing! My son also thoroughly enjoyed Mirco and the kids club--especially the kinderdisco. There was also *plenty* of food for all 3 meals. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. It was also nice chatting with the other guests as it was really easy to bump into others at the events, meal times, pools, etc.
Some of the (male) staff were quite sexist (e.g., a bartender gave me change and asked, "is that with or without a kiss?") We also heard every word from neighboring rooms/the hallway and the WiFi didn't reach our room on the top floor/in the corner (although I heard this is better in the newer rooms). The table soccer, air hockey, and bowling were broken or in disrepair.
This was my second time staying in this establishment, my spouses first time; We spent a week during Christmas. We absolutely love this hotel and everything about it! You want nature, you got it. You want relaxation, you got it. The food, while repetitive, was still all very good. We have traveled to many hotels with kid's clubs and the mini club at Schneeberg has been my sons favorite. The mini club staff felt made it feel like we were dropping our son off with family. Not only are the mini club days/nights filled with fun activities, so are the days/nights for adults. We used the adults only area every day and it was relaxation bliss. We also spent hours going up and down the waterslides with our son. We're already making plans for another trip here this year.
The part that we didn't enjoy was during dinner when the child next to us cried and screamed almost every night and the parents and staff did nothing about it. There was one night that the family showed up (you're assigned a table for breakfast and dinner that you use each day), and they were placed somewhere else. I wonder if it was because other patrons complained. Hopefully we won't have to experience that again when we return.
Food was great, staff was very helpful and polite. Kids loved the pool and hotel provided free sledges for the kids. Food was also amazing and they could even make other things for the kids that are not in the menu.
Welness was top class, room is clean, staff was very pleasant and attentive.
Food was average, room could have some cosmetics.
Very good hotel. It is the best location. I saw this hotel on social media many years ago, so I thought in my heart that one day I will definitely go there. Best breakfast and lunch. Dinner was also good. I have traveled to 51 countries in the world. I have seen many hotels. The hotel was the best among them. If I have the chance again, I will definitely go
Plenty for the kids to play. Lots of indoor and outdoor pools. Beautiful mountains.
Terrible front desk, especially a red-haired lady with glasses. She acted like everyone owed her.Meal was poor.Almost nothing was English friendly. If you really don't care about English speaking customers, please make it clear on booking sites.
Good food. A lot of saunas, including panorama sauna. There is a zone for kids and zone only for adults. We will come back again with pleasure.
Friendly staff, huge compound with so many facilities that would make Disneyland blush a bit, great food and great location
The food is 8 out of 10 while the price justified a 10 out 10 food experience
