Palacio São Silvestre-Boutique Hotel

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at I've traveled to over 74 countries.

AC wasn't working but they resolved problem.

Quiet, spacious and comfortable room. The bed was large, very firm but comfortable enough (but I do look forward to the day when Portuguese hotels finally discover memory foam). Nice pool and tennis court set in garden with many palm trees.

The hotel is set in an area that is not especially attractive. The view from the front door of the hotel is a bit shabby and the adjacent vacant lot is scrubby, even if the hotels ground are very nicely kept.

The staff did much efford to help me with the charging, sinds there is only 1 connextion, it needs some management,

It is an excellent hotel, clean, quiet, big rooms. Kind attention, the food delicious. The decoration is sofisticated. Everything is positive. I highly recommend this hotel.

Breakfast and staff were amazing

You can hear all sort of noises through the night, mainly from the building's appliances and from the others rooms because the walls are thin.

Everything... :)Clean, best bed in many years of travel, really nice TV set. Excellent towels. The whole hotel is very well maintained. Breakfast was good and especially the coffee and pastries.

Wow. An amazing place. We received a large room which was beautifully designed. The floor even had a large reading room.

The temperature of the shower kept changing from very hot to freezing. Really annoying.

The pool was a nice bonus, although they did not provide any pool towels. Room was large, the bed large and comfortable (2 twin beds side by side) and linens were good. Breakfast was good.

The location of the hotel is extremely unattractive being in a small, non-descript village with no charm whatsoever! If you dont want to drive after dinner the only option is to eat on the premises, and the restaurant is modest. I am not sure what makes this a Boutique hotel. Furniture is dated and has an old fashion appearance. The AC did not cool the room down appropriately. Check-in was slow and the room was barely ready at 4:05 pm!

Regal, elegant, and cozy all at the same time! Helpful friendly staff, great food, comfortable beds -- all fantastic!

The sauna isn't actually part of the hotel, as I presumed from the listing. But it wasn't a huge deal for us.

The hotel and grounds are lovely. Nice pool with bathroom and shower, outdoor cafe, and lounge area, play areas, tennis and raquetball courts. Pool towels and raquets are available for check out at the front desk. Good bed, larger than normal tv and very spacious room and bathroom with tub. Flowering trees, well maintained lawns, hedges, fruit trees and grape vines.

The refrigerator was trapped in the cabinet with no way to open it and use it because of the cabinet hinges in room 15. Perhaps this is not the case for the other rooms.

Seems like it USED TO BE a great resort - but now it just seems tired. The pool is drained and empty - why? Could not get the shower to not go from scorching hot to freezing cold in a split second. The water in the lobby was old and-the jug with the fruit in it- was a disgusting color by the next morning. No one had changed out the water and it just sat there - even though the front desk is within eye site of the waters. And when we went into the lounge area for a drink, we sat there forever until I had to go get someone to wait on us. When we received our drinks, we had to pay right then - I guess they assumed we only wanted one drink or that we would not pay - not sure! But not what we're used to. Would not stay here again. It needs updating and it's very far out of town.

Clean, comfortable and esthetically pleasing

Bathroom lighting was poor.

The staff were amazing, very welcoming and helpful.The hotel was quiet and had lovely peaceful gardens. We slept well on comfortable beds Plenty of storage in the room. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice .Dinner in the restaurant was excellent with a good choice of dishes, presented well by friendly, professional staff.

We were disappointed that the pool wasn't open, especially as it was extremely hot weather during our stay.Just a minor detail to point out, there are a lot of marks on the furniture in the bedroom , although this did not detract from our enjoyment, it would be a quick fix and make the room perfect.

Breakfast was very good. Location a bit away from the city of Coimbra, but since we travelled with the car not a major issue. Rooms were nice and clean.

We missed complimentary coffee/tea. Location a bit far from other restaurants.

Very nice boutique Hotel inside a Historical Building and very close to Coimbra.The satff was very friendlly and speaking diferent languagues. The decoration very nice, room big and confortable and place to parking available.The breakfast was very good with local products.Last but not the least, the Restaurant was amazing, really a five stars restaurant, I was ipressed with the veal and the Codfish, you have more then 1000 ways of prepare codfish, I eat codfish more then 1000 times, this was in my top 5.

Swiming Pool not yet available, but it was raining and cols so....

Lovely hotel really enjoyed our stay here. Great room very comfortable. Excellent customer service from all the staff. The restaurant was excellent and served really well cooked food thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Would highly recommend.
