Hotel Botanico de Coimbra

The morning receptionist was friendly and courteous.

This was a good hotel.

Comfortable bed, nice bathroom with a great shower.

No parking. I had to park up the hill around the corner. It's about a 20-minute walk into the main tourist area, mostly downhill. The hike back up was pretty steep.

It was a block from the Botanical gardens. They say there is no parking but we got there early and scored one of two spaces. Loved taking a bath. The staff was very helpful.

The towels were very scratchy

Bedroom had a view and was clean. It had some shutters and airco.

There is no easy parking. We were lucky to get one of the only two parking spaces they have.

It was great to have a person at the reception 24 hours a day. Sandra who was at the reception mostly was so friendly and helpful. It was a real treat to see her each morning when she also was in charge of the breakfast. The room was very nice. Large and bright with blackout blinds. The hotel itself was immaculately kept.

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like. Everything was EXCELLENT!

Simple but comfortable room; location is fabulous! Really close to everything. Staff is super friendly and their suggestion of restaurant to have dinner at was amazing!

Breakfast could be a bit better, it's not bad but it's just white bread, cheese, coffee and milk - u can have something better outside at any café...!

Very clean and airy rooms keeping the historic nature of the building. Super air conditioning!! Spotlessly clean. Friendly and helpful staff.

The duvet didn’t have a cover… there was a sheet for under it but of course that gets kicked off during sleep - I don’t think the duvet gets washed each time so that’s not ideal. The duvet needs a duvet cover ….

We enjoyed the property as it was close to the university to walk to all the sites. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful!

Everything about this hotel was perfect. From the check-in to the breakfast every morning. Our room was always clean with fresh linens and towels. We had a wonderful view from our window and the location is perfect for exploring the city. the staff here are amazing people. they are kind and welcoming. This hotel and its staff far exceed any hotel I have experienced back home in the United States. We truly loved everything about Coimbra and everything about Hotel Botanico. Viva Coimbra!! Viva Hotel Botanico!!

This is one of the best hotels ever. Anytime I am in Coimbra, I choose this little pearl, just opposite the Botanical Garden. You cannot top the location, cleanliness and how friendly the ladies are.

The staff is friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable.

The breakfast included granola and muesli, orange juice, tea and coffee. Perfect for me Also offered toast, meat and one kind of cheese

Excellent location! Coimbra Botanical Garden is within easy reach. The same goes for the Coimbra University. Beautiful view from my room windows! Very clean, really kind staff, excellent breakfast!

Hotel location is very good, Coimbra University and Botanical garden are just a short walk away. Hotel is good and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and also provided us with the baby crib. In the morning, a good breakfast was served that had enough options to choose from.

Disappointing

The building is poorly isolated, the room was cold in winter - A/C was sometimes really noisy which gave two options sleep in chilly room or being disturbed by noise.Bathroom was with window and no heating so it was cold there all the time There was mold on window frames.Breakfast was only basic.
