Tivoli Coimbra

Was a little further from all the ¿action¿, (like 5 minutes walking) which was nice and quiet after a bicycle trip down the coastline. Fabulous breakfast buffet!! Convenient as close by cafes didn¿t open until later in morning.

the location and staff. everyone I met from the property was kind and friendly.

it is tired. the rooms are carpeted and old with worn out features. the bathroom lighting is the worst I’ve seen in a hotel and the walls are thin and you could hear everything in the hall.

I liked the hotel's location, the spacious room and the friendly breakfast and front desk workers. Upon arrival I was greeted with a bottle of water and a small pastry in my room. That was a nice touch. Also like the fact that there's a coffee machine in the room so I could enjoy my first coffee of the day!

Breakfast could have more variety of foods, greater quality of the fruits and better coffee. I absolutely disliked the coffee with the milk drink we get from the machine. It tastes bad and it's sweetened also. Not a good way to start my day!

Location is good. You can walk to most of the city from there.

The room was shabby, mould in the bathroom and there are heavily stained carpets in the corridor. We were told that the Hotel is due for a re fit next year, thougth. Given the condition, not great value - especially as breakfast is 15 Euros extra!

Good location. Spacious room and comfortable bed. Staff was very responsive to some minor issues. Remote control had dead batteries and the first room we checked into had a housekeeping problem. We were swiftly moved to a nicer room with apologies.

This is an aging hotel and it shows. The wear and tear gives it an air of needing a thorough cleaning.

Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was the bomb, slept like a rock. Check in check out was straightforward. Breakfast was a good mix.

Room wasn’t set up for three people, only two bath towels and two coffee cups and two glasses etc. went to call room service and found out phone was not connected. Parking lot was a mouse maze to access. Genius level three and still had to pay for breakfast. TV volume did not work. If you travel enough you have stays like this once in a blue moon.

Kind and efficient staff

Dated old fashioned rooms (old spotted carpets). Very sad and limited breakfast in terms of diversity (not quantity).

The hotel is located near the center of the city, but away from noise. It is clean, comfortable and the breakfast is excellent. It is very close to the train station Coimbra B, where stop all trains coming from Lisbon and Porto.

Hotel rooms and breakfast area desperately need a renovation.

Very nice hotel. Clean, spacious and also very quiet, which was perfect to us. We arrived before normal check-in time but room was already available for us so really nice to have a rest before going to town centre. Staff was very polite and helpful both on site and some communication before we arrive. Overall, very happy with our stay at this Hotel.

Location, accessibity and excellent staff. A medium sized traditional hotel on a quiet street at the edge of the old town and city centre. Close to bus and train stations.

Although there has been some up grading of public spaces the superior rooms on the top floor, which cost extra, could benefit from new carpeting and bathroom fittings.

Every staff is very friendly and kindly. Location, close to city center and bus center. First choice in this city.

The room was spacious, the bed were we stay was comfortable.

Room was not clean (little things on the floor), low illumination on room (however the bathroom as good illumination). I was travel with my bride, and we have booked a room with bed for couple. However they give us a room with two individual beds instead (complete separated, not link with bed sheets even).The reception wasn't any better either, when we said we were getting married the next day, and needed some people (3) to come to our room to help, they immediately got angry and started talking in an unfriendly way. They weren't even able to congratulate each other about the wedding and not wish us good luck.

Nice big room and bathroom and huge bathroom. Our previous booked accommodation was shocking and had to book this hotel at the last moment.

A very long check in process. But no big deal.

Our room was very large and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was big with a good shower with lotion, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The closet was large with ample hangers. A mini fridge was provided along with coffee and a bottle of water. The wifi was excellent and there were many charging outlets and lights. We were on the fifth floor and we could open the windows for a breeze and at night we could lower the shutters and pull the blackout curtains.

The hotel and its furnishings were a little dated. The hair dryer appeared to be ancient and didn't work well.
