Stay Hotel Coimbra Centro

This is not a 4-star hotel. Extremely dirty, broken curtains, and a lot of mold on the tiles of the bathroom of both our rooms. The condition was so bad we checked out immediately and found a true 4 star hotel down the road.

A 2 star hotel but I'd rate it a 3. Room had a balcony overseeing the street and was just a 10 min walk from the old city centre and 15/20 mins from the Uni which is why people come to Coimbra. Not included, but free street parking was easy to find.

None. would recommend. A great value for a Coimbra stay.

Dirty and smelling

Localization was very good

The rest was disappointing. I don’t know who gave 4 starts to this hotel. Dirty room and poor breakfast buffet. Not a single vegetable and bad coffee. Expensive parking (17€/day).

They have a park, but at the checkin, I was informed that the park was closed because the door was broken and will fix after 2 days.

Check-in and check-out was flawlessThe room’s space is enough. It wasn’t too tight nor too spacious. Air conditioning was fantastic. Clean sheets and towels. The buffet breakfast was a pleasant. It had a wide variety of options that I find lacking in most 3-star hotel.

The facilities are quite old, but relatively clean. I could hear the other room’s toilet flush, and it felt like the whole floor shakes whenever someone closes their hotel room door.

Not a 4 star hotel, avoid

I don’t understand how is a 4 star hotel. It’s not clean, dirty walls, smells badly. Staff not friendly. Horrible experience, try to avoid.

Reception staff was excellent. Young man, name begins with "O" was very kind and helpful in directing me to help for my phone. I'm very grateful!

No cold water in bathroom. That's better than no hot but very strange. Thankfully the hot was not too hot; still weird.

Nice hotel in center, ok breakfast, good value for money.

Great and cozy hotel. Our room was larger then it looked in the photos and everything we needed was there.Solid breakfast with a lot of variety, even picky eaters should be satisfied. Wonderfully helpful staff. It's more geared towards younger adults, but we were perfectly accommodated as a young family.

The facilities are an accident in the making. Balcony too low any children could fall. Windows to balcony super easy to be open by a child. Scary to say the least. I'm sorry for sure they have the best intentions but was very unsafe. Also water next to plugs.

We appreciated having a fridge. Spacious room. Another chair or luggage rack would have been handy. Loved the relaxed feel, modern decor. All of our needs were met while we enjoyed our time in Coimbra.

Leaky tap in bathtub and the toilet ran a little so we had to close the bathroom door so the noise didn’t bother us. The staff responded with concern when we reported the leaks.

Slightly noisy air-conditioning and minor updating needed in the room. However, nothing too serious. Still good.

Several power outages in the room, broken window in bathroom, noise from next room was as if we were all in the same room.

Location convenient to train station and old town.

Housekeepers changed towels and straightened but didn’t refill tea or provide new cups.
