Praxis CBR Boutique Hotel - Coimbra

The decor of the hotel was exceptional. Book lovers can appreciate the details. The location is convenient to the university and other attractions around the city. The staff were friendly and always available to help. The room is equipped with state of the art electronic shutters and flat screen TV in the mirror. The toilet and shower have a clear glass door to give the illusion of being in a library, so if you are traveling with someone and are shy this would not be the place for you.

I liked everything about it.

Breakfast had a lovely European spread w/choices of coffee, tea, juices, water. The room was very modern with a well thought out plan. I had many favorites, but my Surprise was the hidden TV. GREAT Staff

I can't really think of one thing.

Breakfast was very good. Scrambled eggs were delicious, lots of choice for bread, meat, cheese, etc.

Room could use one additional chair, ie one for each of two persons.

Excelent location in downtown Coimbra. The room is very comfortable with design details and taste that really capture one's attention. The bed is a hastens so, very comfortable and so is the strong shower.

Breakfast could have more variety, and soft boiled eggs should be available as well. Although the bed is very comfortable there is no choice of pillows in the room, and the standard ones are very hard and difficult to use by sidesleepers.

What a fun experience staying at this hotel. Best hotel we’ve stayed at in Portugal. Free afternoon tea and chocolate in room was such a nice touch.

Nothing everything was perfect.

Superb location by the river at the foot of the old town, lots of street life but great views and noise insulation. Lovely rooms with wholly original design specific to Coimbra, and exceptionally welcoming and helpful staff. Day-long guest lounge with views, coffee and cakes.

To make it perfect, the option of softer pillows would add value, and also a blind in the toilet for the shy among us. But it's close to perfect.

Very impressive design boutique hotel with wonderful river view. Amazing and helpful staff. Perfect location, just 11 mins walk to Coimbra University.

Exceptional design, made the experience very fun. Wonderfully friendly staff, great location, very comfortable, great breakfast.

The location is just perfect! Could not be better. The staff was nice, very polite. Especially Carina, always very attentive. Wished me happy bday and brought me a lil cake. The bed is very big and comfy. Very clean!

When we arrived it was over 3:30 p.m., and the room was not ready. Even though the check-in is at 3pm. We had to wait almost another half hour. The note left in my room had another guest's name. The pillows are a bit too hard for my taste. As soon as you enter the room, you see the toilet sink. The toilet has glass door, so... if you are not comfortable enough with the person you are sleeping with, I do NOT recommend. You can even hear their thoughts. NOT sound proof at all.

Finding it was a little challenging if you’re arriving by car

Everything was outstanding the decoration of the room and lobby are vey impressive and creative. The staff was very nice.

Lack of privacy in the bathroom! See-through doors to shower and toilet.

Great central location, helpful and smiling staff at the reception.The bed was incredibly comfortable, as were the pillows.There was a kettle in the room and the possibility of making tea.Breakfast was tasty, although limited without hot dishes.Possibility of all-day use of the dining room and terrace on the top floor of the hotel, where there was always coffee, tea available and delicious cake.

The bathroom was beautifully finished, but it was not comfortable to use. There were no towel rails, shelves for private cosmetics. Not to mention that the toilet is visible from the bedroom... This room should at least be behind frosted glass.

Location is outstanding. Staff fantastic. Clean and allot of thought put into guests comfort. Tea/Coffee, cake upstairs a bonus.

What a treat to stay here. So many great little touches like a handwritten welcome note and chocolate, and an incredible breakfast spread. All really made this just the perfectl stay. Very classy place, with out breaking the bank.

We didn't have a problem with anything but others should no that the rooms lack a TV, and the room layout is a little weird with the bathroom right at the door with glass doors.

Great location to explore Coimbra and very comfortable. And so beatifully designed, inspired bythe Joanina Library of the University of Coimbra

Amazing view from our room. Fantastic shower with great water pressure, best shower of our Portugal trip. Comfy bed. Breakfast was good, lighter fare but some protein options. Coffee was good and view from breakfast room was spectacular.

The pillows were too firm for us but manageable. The bed was very comfy.
