Located in the heart of the city of Porto, Hotel Universal offers rooms with air conditioning and free WIFI access throughout the hotel, as well as a common area, bar and 24-hour reception. The property is about 820 ft from S.Bento Train Station, 1312 ft from the famous Torre dos Clérigos and 1969 ft from D. Luis I bridge. Guest rooms of Hotel Universal are equipped with a TV and private bathroom with a hairdryer and a shower or bathtub. Some rooms also have city views. In our hotel, all rooms have bed linen and towels. Continental breakfast it’s available every morning with us (extra cost) Our staff speaks several languages and is available to answer any questions you may have. You can also schedule transfers, cruises on the Douro River and many other activities in the city of Porto, including a short tourist route. Nearby we have several points of interest such as Ribeira Square (3117 ft), Lello Bookshop (450), Oporto Coliseum (2133 ft), Santa Catarina Street (3117 ft), Oporto Catedral (2133 ft), Majestic Café (1640 ft) and many others. Pros +
- The location was central to downtown Porto.
- AC. Great location, updated rooms, elevator and very nice staff.
- Location is fabulous.
Cons -
- The rooms are older and very spare and basic. Don't expect much but given the price it was acceptable.
- There is a club nearby and on a Saturday had music until 4 ish am. Sunday night was quiet. Not sure if this is an every weekend thing or a one time thing.
- There was no wifi or TV.
