Pros +
- The beds were super confy and the room as a very good space, good shower too.
- The fact that the rooms had heating
- The staff were very accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable.
Cons -
- I don't have any great dislike, maybe could be a bit more independent breakfast.
- Although I understand that staying at a one-star property near the road may come with basic facilities, there is still a reasonable expectation of cleanliness and hygiene, which was unfortunately not met.I booked two rooms for four nights at a total cost of €350 (€176 per room). At this price, I anticipated at least clean, functional accommodations as advertised. Instead, upon arrival, we were placed on the first floor in rooms with appalling conditions, as shown in the attached photos. These include:Mold on walls and ceilings.Dirty floors that appeared uncleaned for some time.Rusty and corroded metal fixtures throughout the rooms. After raising these issues, we were offered two alternative rooms, which were marginally better but still far below acceptable standards. The new rooms continued to exhibit persistent issues, including mold, dirt, and rust. The lack of basic hygiene and maintenance throughout the property was evident, and it was clear that the facility does not prioritize guest comfort or cleanliness.Additionally, during our four-night stay, the hotel staff made no effort to change our towels or bedding, further highlighting the neglect of even basic hospitality services. Such conditions and lack of service are entirely unacceptable for any guesthouse, regardless of its star rating.I specifically booked rooms with balconies but the initial rooms offered were far below expectations. While I understand there may occasionally be booking discrepancies, the excuses provided felt dismissive, especially as I have professional experience in the hospitality industry.Given my background as a receptionist, I am familiar with how front desk operations work, and I expected a more proactive effort to address my concerns. Instead, the experience left me feeling let down and disappointed. This property has failed to deliver on even the most basic expectations of cleanliness and maintenance, and I would strongly advise others to avoid it at all costs.
- The toilet seat was broken, the shower door was very difficult to open.

The staff were very accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable.
The toilet seat was broken, the shower door was very difficult to open.
Location near thermal pools.
Room reeked of stale cigarette smoke. We got scratchy throats while trying to sleep and our clothes now smell too.The room was on a busy street with barking dogs. The bathroom was clean and bright.Weak wifi. Dark hallways.
Rooms don't have AC, other than that it's ok. Extremely affordable.
The lack of AC
Good value for money with basic room amenities, a clean private bathroom, and a simple breakfast
View of the internal courtyard
The room was big enough, was clean, the bathroom is big and was clean also. 24 hour cafeteria on the other side of the road. The room had a small terrace
We could only open one side of the door so it was hot, would be nice to have 2 chairs on the terrace to be able to sit outside if it's too hot inside. There is no air conditioner however was a ventilator in the room .
Staff excellent great English..dealt with problematic other guest firmly and fairly
Avant Garde industrial fittings in room just looked cheap and nasty
Pleasant
The hotel was a bit run down and outdated. The room had an old smell and the bed was quite uncomfortable. The parking garage was super shady. The elevator was scary.
It’s a total value for money! The separate balcony with an amazing view, big bathroom and cozy bed with 2 heaters just made my day! I didn’t expect all this at such a low price! The host is also very sweet. Actually I had no plans to stay at Ourense but had no trains available so I had to, I was totally exhausted but as soon as I entered the room, my mood was elevated. The view from the balcony got me interested to explore the city & I found it’s amazing river Minho, the park, geothermal hot springs and the history of this city! It’s a very good place to stay. ? TV, wifi, heaters, everything is good!
? Nothing! ?
Reasonable personal attention
Tiny, non A/C, no hair dryer no safe.box poor brkfst and parking inside hard to manuvre....
Accessible to public transportation. Free spacious parking on site. Friendly staff. Breakfast was inexpensive. Our room had a balcony with a view of the mountains. Near the hot springs.
The entire bed (mattress, pillow, sheets) was uncomfortable. Night lights were too dim and one of the lights in our room didn’t work. Limited food options at the bar/restaurant. The building and the underground parking feels unkempt and abandoned like a zombie would come out anytime. Hallways were not well-lit
Onsite Parking attracted me to this hotel. It served its purpose as a low cost overnight stay. Staff were helpful when they were around. Bathroom in my room had been modernised/refitted nicely recently.
The interior feels very dated - c1970s. Bed was basic with blankets. Lighting in the room was dull. Its 1* rating is accurate, but is reflected in the low cost of the room.
really nice staff waiting for us very late at night.
we liked it all! maybe the breakfast menu a bit short
very nice staff! nice location! good breakfast and very comfortable room.
Location, and the new bathroom
The bed has to be renewed because it stinks
Avoid.
I had a room facing the internal courtyard and it absolutely stank of cigarettes, I had a headache after 30 minutes. Not the fault of the staff but certainly the room was absolutely toxic. The hotel is in a horrible position on a busy road right away from all the attractions of this town.
. A nice location on the csmino sanabres. About a mile from train station and had good coffee in the morning. We had dinner there and it was nice.
Was good place to stay, nice balcony overlooking the river.
Had small problem with shower but otherwise pleasant stay.
Hotel is best for car travelers, it is located at a motorway intersection, but it is also probably the hotel closest to the Ourense thermal baths. Large safe parking.Friendly and helpful lady receptionist, lift, clean rooms, wi-fi worked well. Clean, good showers, simple but adequate breakfast at good price, overall affordable. Very good value for money, I had low expectations, so I was actually surprised how good everything was.
Breakfast options were very limited. The bedroom decor is quite 80-s, if I should mention something
