Edra Palace Hotel & Ristorante

The staff at the hotel were personable and helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The grounds which had been recently renovated were delightful and reflected pride of ownership.

The property was very well located, and the room was spacious and clean. I especially appreciated the bar across the street, which served excellent coffee and grappa.

The only drawback was pedestrian access to the main street at night. There was no dedicated gate for those walking in.

It's a very basic hotel. I wouldn't stay here for more than a quick overnight.

Excellent location and wonderful dining room staff that served both lunch and dinner so we didn’t have to leave the premises! Food and service were excellent

The air conditioning did not work so we slept with the window open…loud and bright! Disappointed that the pool wasn’t open and it is mid-June….

If was perfect . I was on a motorcycle and got fought in a storm 60 kms out . The heating was on in my room so all my stuff dried out for the next day . Water was hot in the shower . All in all just what I needed

Nice 3-star regional hotel with friendly people and good amenities and clean shower.

8:40 am in the morning the service guys started drilling the wall of our bedroom, fixing something at the hall outside. This is not something you expect from the hotel, decent hotels make announcement about service repairs and definitely do not start these until breakfast ends.This was like a wake up call drilling directly into your head.This was below my expectation.Also, as the hotel is near the road, heavy truck and ambulance noises do not add to peacefulness of the sleep, you have to open windows in winter to have some fresh air since conditioning is switched off.

The room was quiet and very clean. The shower good and hot.All the staff, both at reception and in the restaurant was courteous and helpful.

There was nothing to complain about, the room was good value for what we paid.

Good location just off the motorway but quiet. Large room, firm but comfortable bed. Clean. Good breakfast. Excellent staff especially the waiting staff. I stayed for four nights and used it as a base to see the monastery and war cemeteries and Caserta and Herculaneum and it was ideally situated for that purpose.

The restaurant was good quality and had a different set menu everyday but I think the food was slightly overpriced, especially the set menu, but as the room was very reasonably priced it wasn’t really an issue for me as a solo traveller, more an observation. The hotel obviously caters for large groups and business travellers and they may have different pricing arrangements but private travellers especially with family might find it a little expensive. There was enough variety across the a la carte menu for four or five days of dining but that’s probably sufficient as I doubt that many guests stay longer than three or four days. These are just observations and not criticisms as I was completely satisfied with my stay.

I left my laptop in the room, and fortunately I hadn’t left the area. The staff called me and I was able to come back and pick up my computer. Foggy jet lag thinking on my part. But very nice of them.

Previously stayed at this hotel when visiting Cassino and the Abbey so returned as familiar with location and accommodation. Staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. Due to a mix up on my part we arrived a day early however this did not cause an issue and in addition we were also upgraded to a junior suite at no extra cost which was a lovely surprise. The room was spacious, extremely clean and very comfortable as was the bed. We dined in the hotel, again staff were very helpful and also very patient whilst I was using my phone to translate the menu into English. There was a large selection of dishes available, my meals were delicious, well seasoned and reasonably priced. Breakfast was also very good. Free on site parking is also a bonus with plenty of available spaces.

There was nothing I did not like about the property, I will definitely stay there again when next visiting Cassino and would certainly recommend it to other travellers.

The grounds and facility are beautiful and really well maintained. Views of the mountains are spectacular. The room, bed and pillows were comfortable. They let us check in an hour and a half early, which we really appreciated. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were delicious. The wait staff were superb -- friendly and attentive. We went to Cassino specifically to see the Abbey, which was about a 20-minute drive from the hotel because the road to the Abbey is really curvy. The hotel is on the outskirts of town, which is good because Cassino Centro was crazy crowded and driving/parking was not fun. We were happy to park in a spacious, free lot at the hotel. We would definitely stay there again.

We walked in and I smiled at a man at the front desk. He ignored me, stood up, went to the end of the front desk and did something on his phone. I waited several minutes for his colleague, a woman, to finish her phone call with a client. She was helpful. I asked if they had a map to the Abbey and they did not. It would be helpful if they could provide street maps of the area. Not a great first impression but fortunately the experience improved greatly from there.

Unfortunately the beautiful pool was not open, sadly, but the Hotel itself was lovely, food was lovely, very clean, staff were very helpful, we had a lovely stay?grounds were lovely?

The property is close to the motorway but you can’t hear the traffic, and only about 10 minutes drive from the town of Cassino. It is only 20 minutes drive from Monte Cassino. The hotel has a small but reasonably equipped gym, although there are no free weights. The room was spacious and clean, and includes a minibar. The bathroom was similarly clean. There are a few restaurants nearby, but as town is only a short drive away there are more within driving distance. The restaurant Antichi Sapori (in Cassino NOT Assisi!) is very very good.

Lovely clean hotel with nice sized rooms and a very comfortable bed. Great outdoor space that is well kept. Fabulous breakfast and friendly staff. Good location for Cassino.We were a large family group ages from 9 months to 85 years, but everyone was catered for and really happy with this choice.

Got electric charger for cars. Staff present and helpful. Ample free parking near highway.

Old hotel, need renovation, fortunately clean, except the rubber seal on glass shower door need replacing, hence cause water to leak onto the floor. Fortunately the reception very helpful, speaks good English, the rest not so well but just enough to get by.
