Pros +
- Nice accomodations. Very good service.
- Wonderful location and staff. We had a beautiful and comfortable room and safe place to park the car Great breakfast. I left something behind in our room and the staff was very helpful to see about getting it back to me
- Beautiful hotel and grounds, 20 minute walk to Neapolis or to Ortigia, 10 minute walk to a grocery store, staff competent and kind, nice buffet breakfast in the elegant dining room, ample free and off-street parking, easy to drive to. Had a small fridge, no hot water kettle.
Cons -
- All was really wonderful.
- The location was not near any restaurants or shopping. You need to take a cab or bus to get somewhere. Also didn’t like That you had to pay €5 for a pool towel. Pillows not comfortable.
- We stayed in a multi-room suite and our bedroom wall was situated adjacent to another guest room and we could hear everything in the other room. Which means we woke up when they did including their alarm, and conversation at 0600. Also - while the staff was friendly, they were very aloof based off of our interactions with the front-desk and breakfast room staff.

Wow! Such elegance! Winston Churchill stayed here in the 50s. About a mile from Ortigia, and the same from Neapolis Archeological Park. There is a food store about a 10 minute walk away. Beautiful gardens, beautiful lobby and dining area, perched above what was a quarry long ago. Ample parking lot that is easy to enter. Staff accommodating and speaks English. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is a nice buffet with cold cuts, cheeses, fruit, breads, juices, coffee and tea, sweets. Nice room with comfortable beds. Bathtub with showerhead, enough space to put things.
All was really wonderful.
A lovely historical hotel.

The hotel was a lovely old-style hotel with updated amenities but still retaining a classic style. The whole hotel complex was very nice (on an ancient quarry) and situated in an area removed from the more busy areas of the city. The pool area was nice and modern as well. It was easy and inexpensive to get a taxi if you didn't want to walk to the sites.

Location, beautiful balcony with great views, wonderful hotel room & meals in a spectacular large dining room. We liked everything about this property!!
Excellent breakfast and very big with lots of choice Grounds were nice, room was pleasant, staff were very helpful and accommodating
Hotel grounds were very spacious. Large parking area.
The staff was not always friendly. Location was acceptable but not great.
The location
The shower head was extremely looseThe toliet didnt flush, we went to tell the receptionist. Once it was fixed, it made so much noise. The cleaning staff would vacuum at 7 in the morning , not only waking up me but also my 9 month old.The additional charge to use a beach towel was unnecessary. The bar service was extremely slow, we only had 1 happy hour and went other places for drinks.
Bad sense, bed location, really basic breakfast
Strong smell and location
Pool was superb. Clean, spacious room
Some staff were lovely; others could have been a bit more friendly / client centric.
Pool area and staff were very nice
Pool area was very nice Although having to pay for a towel in a 4 star hotel was not expected Room was very nice but the bathroom was extremely small - you had to step back from the sink to open the door ? Shower wasn’t working properly on arrival - was fixed when asked. hotel bathroom not 4 star standard Breakfast was lack lustre not 4 star. Didn’t avail of breakfast on two of the 3 mornings
Excellent pool area! Wonderful breakfast options. Very attentive and professional staff. Grand hotel! Excellent location that was convenient with a car (away from the busy traffic and crowds).
Needed more pillows in bedroom. A/C was just adequate in our room.
Spacious rooms, friendly staff, very nice pool.
The water from the sink had a terrible taste. The food at the pool and the restaurant was very expensive. The breakfast was just ok.
Beautiful property. The rooms are elegant and clean. Great pool and grounds.
The hotel is about 25-30 minutes walk from the center.
Very friendly staffPerfect location and beautiful viewsThe swimming pool was gorgeous and very relaxingRoom met expectations Breakfast was delicious
There is a beautiful pool. If you want a cool refresher after visiting the Greco Roman ruins, this is a great place to stay. We also enjoyed their happy hour which included small plates of Sicilian appetizers. There is also parking included and on site so no need to drag suitcases. And there is an elevator from the ground floor.
location., ambience., restaurant., bar
This is a lovely hotel that is located near many key location stops. Parking is on site and free. The rooms are nice with a mix of modern and old furniture. The bed are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean. This a busy hotel with groups that also stay here. The breakfast was nice and had a variety of options. The pool is great, clean and refreshing with lots of deck chairs to lay around the pool
We stayed over Easter weekend and what was disappointing was no restaurants near the hotel were open. We had to eat at the hotel restaurant. This was not good value for money and the food was average. The air-con was noisy in our room.
