Pros +
- Wonderful stay, best location, great staff.
- Lovely boutique hotel. Big comfortable room and very nice staff. Location is excellent and in old town
- Location, size, privacy
Cons -
- Insecure stairs, regular key, no elevator
- One of the reasons for staying there was to see the ancient Jewish mikvahs that were actually in the residence. The person who provided the “tour” was one of the most unpleasant ever. It rather spoiled the experience which was pretty expensive considering the limited access.
- There is a wing of the building, much less nice than the main building . The first night they put me on the ground floor in a place with no windows. Second night in a bigger place but very noisy. Staff wasn’t friendly

The location was ideal for wandering around Ortigia on foot, close to everything.Loved the historic feel of the building retained in its renovation (old stone arches, etc.), and the readily available tours of the ancient Roman well and ancient mikvah baths far beneath the hotel (hidden from the late 1400s until rediscovered in 1986). We also arrived early and the hotel staff accommodated us with one ready room in which to leave our belongings and freshen up.
Amazing location, right in the center of the old town. Super friendly and helpful staff. Very big, spacious and comfortable rooms, we were a group of 11 and managed to fit in three rooms more than perfectly. The staff is amazing, she helped us get around the city and was always there to help. Overall an amazing experience.
Isabella was an absolute gem, helping ease the checkin process, providing information on wonderful places to eat and just all around delightful.

In the heart of Giudecca and near the sea

Old historicsl bulding, comfortable, stylish.
Breakfast.
Great location and very quiet and private despite being in the old town and tourist area
I loved everything about this property
The location is excellent, close to beaches, town, shopping. The rooms are large, great AC. Nice patio off of the room. Staff is very kind and helpful.
The breakfast could have been better, pastries were dry.
Location (although it is such a small place, location is the last thing you should worry about).
Mold in the bathroom. A lot. Weird smell. Stains on pillows. The room made me sad. This is not a 3 star hotel as a Motel 6 is much better.
Clean, very nice staff and close to everything
Absolutely beautiful old building with so much charm and very nicely upgraded and maintained as a hotel, on an adorable street very close to everything in Ortigia
Amazing hotel, It was actually more of a suite with a separate living area and a bedroom. Very historic, one of my favorite hotels on my trip. Within 60 seconds of a swimming area and great restaurants. Beautiful courtyard, I was able to chill with a glass of wine and enjoy my surroundings.
Breakfast room was beautiful but breakfast was ok, i’ve had some amazing breakfast lineups at other hotels, so it was hard to compete with that.
This beautiful boutique hotel is located in an old historical property on the quiet side of Ortigia, yet within easy walking distance to historical sites, restaurants and cafes.
Great locationFriendly staff
Very humid room. The shower wasn’t to our liking.
Although the building was historic and lovely and the breakfast delicious, the room accommodations were bare bones. We were not received very warmly or with much help.
Rooms were sparse, we had a broken toilet seat, limited items like soap and toilet paper, the bedding was not comfortable. The rooms all need significant upgrading and the staff was not very friendly or helpful.
On a positive note, the location was very convenient, close to all major sights, and there is a great bar just around the corner with a friendly and welcoming atmospher.
While the building has character due to its age, the room itself would benefit from a significant update. The walls were in need of repainting, and unfortunately, there was visible mould upon entering the room. In the second bedroom, white flakes from the ceiling had fallen onto the bed, which was concerning. The lounge area also showed signs of neglect, with rust stains on the sofa covers and pillows; although the furniture is made of iron, it is reasonable to expect the fabric to be clean, particularly given the price point. Additionally, both bins provided were broken and rusted. Overall, while the property has potential, greater attention to maintenance and cleanliness is necessary to meet expectations. To sum up our stay, Ortigia itself is a beautiful place to visit. The hotel, although basic and in need of some updating, is in a great location and retains some charming, authentic features. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as the area is pedestrianised, like many tourist spots in Sicily. While it can be expensive, the stunning architecture and sunsets more than make up for it.
Good location and very charming hotel that appears to have been around in some shape or form hosting guests for several centuries. The rooms are very large.
Reception is closed from 13h to 15h but staff apparently likes to leave a bit earlier than 13h. (No one was around when we came at 12h55 to pick up our luggage).
Large room with bedroom space, bathroom and kitchen area. Very friendly staff. Great location and great value.
Room was a little bit scruffy around the edges - bathroom door was hard to close and shower curtains weren’t great but these are minor points and didn’t affect our stay.
