    Pros +

    • This hotel is located within walking distance of Ortigia. They do not include breakfast but there is a restaurant on the property which offers breakfast for 20 euros per person. Our room had low windows that allowed a lot of light in at night. The bed was comfortable and the size of the room was perfect for two.
    • Beautiful location within walking distance to Ortigia and train station. Really loved having the not-quite-as-touristy areas of Siracusa available to me for shopping. There's also a nice park right next door. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly and breakfast was varied and delicious. The top-floor suite had a private door to the jacuzzi and terrace.
    • The front desk staff were exceptional - so kind and helpful. I liked the location. It was a very quick walk to the entrance of Ortigia.

    Cons -

    • The restaurant is high-end and expensive.
    • No one was using the jacuzzi during my stay but I can see how this might be noisy for the top-floor room. This is a minor nit-pick but the suite lighting was hard to figure out.
    • My room was a bit rundown. In addition, there was only a small window that faced a small courtyard so the room felt like a cave. Usually, the photos on booking.com corresponding with specific room types are quite accurate. In this case, they were not. I thought I was booking a room with a big window.

The hotel was cozy and clean and well maintained, the staff was helpful and reachable anytime. The location was walking distance from Ortigia and it was easy to park the car around. The breakfast was fantastic!

We experience construction noise early in the morning which was very disruptive but the staff confirmed that it came from outside the hotel, so they couldn't do much about that.

great breakfast, good value at 20?euros. good way to start the day.

Ortigia might have been better locoation simply because we were always walking back and forth across the bridge to reach it for dining, shopping.i didn't like the small beach in town of Ortigia. we found an alternative beach, small pebbles and clear water, ten mins by car from Ortigia, GUESS private beach 50 euros which included two chaises longue and umbrella. good restaurants on the sand.

    Esthetic, staff, proximity to ortigia

It was clean but could have been cleaner

The front door staff were very courteous

The amenities were NOT 5 star hotel quality. No gym, no pool, no spa. It was loud. The rooftop terrace was a joke-panoramic view of what? The hot tub/jacuzzi was covered up and it was a filthy cover. Water overflow from plants on terrace present around the pots on the terrace and water had also seeped onto the stairs below-creating a slip/fall hazard. This place needs some love. They’ve put plenty of money into fancy branding, now time to freshen up on amenities.

Hotel: Rooms and hotel rooms were beautiful and clean. The staff was very accomodating and assisted us with taxis.Location: only a 10 minute (or less if your a fast walker) to ortigia.

The staff really made this hotel stay for us. They reached out before we arrived and arranged a transfer to and from the airport, on check in we were given lots of information on the local area and where to explore, they chatted to you at breakfast and were a real credit to the hotel. The room was comfortable and really quiet. The hotel had an evening maid service in case you needed fresh towels which was good. We ate in the restaurant on the first night since we were exhausted from travelling. What a pleasant surprise, the restaurant was of a really high quality with delicious food. Again the service was great, friendly staff happy to talk through the wine list. Breakfast was buffet style with lovely coffee. There's not so much directly by the hotel, but it's only a short walk to Ortigia where there's lots to see and do. The archaeological park is about 15 minutes walk away so you don't need a car to explore from this location.

I was a little disappointed with the breakfast juice provision, after such a lovely meal the night before.

Great location not too far from all sites and an easy walk from the train station. Friendly and helpful staff and an excellent breakfast. Bedroom was nice and bright and well decorated.

The room was delightful with very original designer lighting and a beautiful painted ceiling. We were really impressed by it and will borrow some of the lighting ideas. The walk to Ortigia was very easy and it was nice that this hotel was located away from the tourist bustle of Ortigia.

We did not use the restaurant because there are so many other places to eat. There was not much that we did not like.

We stayed in two rooms for 3 people. Our rooms were located in the first floor with windows facing the internal area. The first problem was to find many insects in the rooms. As the air conditioning wasn't working the receptionist offered us a fan. That's not fun at all.The second problem about those rooms is the fact they are really noisy in the morning. Noise apparently coming from the kitchen when preparing the breakfast. The last and worst of all was to be charged of something wasn't consumed. They charged a bottle of wine from my daughters room. According to them the minibar consumption system is very "accurate". If you stay in this hotel don't stay in the first floor and when checking out don't leave the premisses before they double check their minibar with their accurare system.

standard rooms quite small and no view

Very good hotel. Clean rooms. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff. Great location close to the island of Ortigia.

Nicely refurbished old building. Room had a lot of charm. Breakfast was ok. A little overprized though.Only critic, you hear water running, toilet flushing from the other rooms very loudly. Did not get good sleep due to this.

    Nice, helpful staff.

Two inside level in the junior suite....upstair the bed without toilet.... downstairs during the night to toilet or drink something from the fridge....very uncomfortable and also dangerous.Very difficult to find parking lot close to the hotel.

    9RodneyPosted on: 3-8-2025

The premises were super clean. Staff was friendly and professional. Location is very convenient (5 minutes walk to the main attraction -Ortigia) and 10 minutes walk to the bus / train station. Breakfast was good (not a lot of variety though) and the coffee was perfect. The bathroom facilities were very good. The shower had good water pressure and we had adequate storage space for our clothes and stuff. On the whole this hotel is value for money and I would choose it again if I stay in Siracusa.

The soundproofing of the room is not perfect so if you are a light sleeper like me you may be annoyed by the sounds from the reception and people exiting the lift at your floor (our room was at 1st floor).Warm water was slow to arrive in the shower in the early morning (around 6.00-6.30am), so if you like to take a shower early, be prepared to have it with cold water (at least in the first few minutes).

Staff was all very nice and accommodating. The breakfast options were good and it's a small hotel so it was always peaceful. We had a cat and they were very happy to switch rooms so it was more pet-friendly for cats.

    Nothing at all.

Modern, clean, good range of services. Very friendly staff.

Location is good, but still 10min walk to Ortigia.

I like everything about this hotel - it really deserves its “5 stars”. From the moment when booking in until we left, everything was great!! The room was new and modern with everything required to make your day comfortable! The staff is well trained, very professional as well as extremely helpful! The hotel also has a fantastic location!

The hotel policy is that they only provide 2 bottles of water on the day you check in. We stayed two nights - it will be nice if they can provide 2 bottles of water every day during your stay. Nothing big - just a suggestion-)
