The staff was incredible.Room was really great, impeccably clean.THE FOOD, incredible. Was shocked to see a Michelin Star plaque for 2025. Well deserved.

We really enjoyed the stay. Especially the owner was very kind and helpful. We really liked the food (local dishes). Thanks to the kitchen chef . But also breakfast was really great and more than you would expect. If you want to enjoy typical South-West German cuisine, this is where to stay.

Loved everything! The room was spacious and comfortable. It was easy to find and in a spectacular setting. A meal in the restaurant is a MUST ... it has a Michelin award and was the most incredible meal we've had in years. For those put off by other reviews saying breakfast was limited: yes, we had to pre-order the day before, but there was plenty of choice, and everything was set up for us in advance. We would definitely stay again and for more than one night next time. We also loved the bedside lamps with USB ports to charge our phones.

The hotel is very clean, easy to find, and it is easy to park nearby. The staff was really nice and kind.

Ideal location for my requirements, quiet atmosphere in a lovely rural Black Forest location

We booked quite late in the day and arrived mid dinner service and despite being very busy the lady welcomed us and got us a table for dinner right away and got us checked in and breakfast preordered. The service was good and food very nice. We went for a walk to local waterfalls after which was very lovely.

Delicious Food, and very friendly staff who always greets you with a smile. Also loved the location, which is a very peaceful town in the middle of the black forest.

The pillows of the beds are too thin, variety in the breakfast is a bit limited.

Absolutely perfect, the room was comfortable, breakfast delicious and the hosts were so friendly. But 100% everyone must try the evening meal here. On a 3 week trip, this was the best meal we had by far. Highly recommended.

Due to traffic related issues we were delayed, though we did call to inform expected delay, but unfortunately arrived very late, way past our own deadline and were thankful that the staff were waiting to receive us.

No kettle and tea/coffee

Due to COVID restrictions preventing the use of a buffet, traditional breakfast was pre-ordered from a menu and served at an agreed time in the dining room. The service from a friendly and attentive waitress was very good.The food in the restaurant was also very good. The staff were all very friendly and made us feel extremely welcome.

Service in the restaurant in the evening was slow, but the quality of the food made the wait worthwhile.

The restaurant is 5*. Location perfect if you want to go for a walk at the forest.
