Hotel Restaurant Albans Sonne

We enjoyed the historic building with updated electrical and bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our dinner was delicious with lots of atmosphere, candle, flowers on the table. Warm wood decor. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable beds and linens.

Not a great wifi connection.

The hotel is in a nice village with no city rush and hush. The village itself is very beautiful. Hotel rooms are good and neatly maintained. Wonderful staff.

Breakfast could be better.

I stayed at this hotel with my family for one night. I got a free crib for my 2 years old, which was a big plus. Hotel building is located near the street and close to the mountain stream, so you can hear it’s relaxing sound in the night. Hotel surrounding is quite charming as well - at the heart of Schwarzwald. Breakfast was delicious and hotel owner was very kind to us.

Exceptional accommodation in the heart of the Black Forest. Huge bed and so comfy!! The bathroom was extremely clean. And the breakfast was varied and tasty! But the best of all was getting to know Tilo (the owner). We spent a long time chatting with him and feeling how dedicated he is to his business. A great guy who gave us a good insight of the area and the country as well as great suggestions for us to visit. We wish you all the best, Tilo!! Warm regards from Alexis, Sílvia and Aleix.

Everything was great!!!

Very atmospheric, and I would assume very traditional Gasthof in a picturesque little town. We have arrived on foot after a 20km trek, and just at the time when kitchen has already closed. Realising we don't have a car to drive to the nearest restaurant, the owner made us sandwiches.

Very friendly staff.Great location for exploring the Black Forest. Clean and spacious rooms.

The duvets where very small. Or at least mine was. My partner had a normal one.

We enjoyed our 3 days stay at Hotel Albans Sonne. Super friendly staff members: Tilo Lutz and his colleagues are nice people, a clean room, nice and clean hotel facility in general, good food/menu offered, good breakfast too and the location was breathtaking! We will visit Hotel Albans Sonne again and wish them the best!

Owner was extra kind, willing to help out with everything. nice breakfast especially if you look into the other room where majority of the food is situated. That said yogurt and croissants were extra good

Furniture in the room is maybe a bit old fashioned (dated seems to be from the 70’s but it’s in good shape and very clean

We loved the stay, it was very homie and the hosts are very friendly and welcoming we enjoyed 3 nights. I recommend it.

Very friendly, smooth checkin/out, excellent dinner and breakfast, and really great to see was almost no plastic waste at breakfast. Room was in style 'Schwarzwald Gasthof', so no luxury chic shower etc, but clean, welcoming, good shutters, comfortable bed. Value for money is exceptionally good.
