Yes the booking from booking.com was not like the one I initially was given. Who's fault that was I don't know. But the hotel was very good and changed things for me.

See above. The hotel said they don't give that sort of room at that price to booking.com? Something is wrong here.

Exelent value for money, very nice small hotel, perfect location, small but nice room with balcony with rive see, the best breakfast i eat in German hotels, the staff is very nice, i arrived with a hard cold, Martina was so kind to me and helped a lot.

Large room with view of the Rhine, well equipped, comfortable beds. Friendly staff and warm welcome. Superb breakfast, on the terrace with a view of the Rhine. Accepts animals (supplement of 10 euros per night)

There is no air conditioning, only a fan and it was really hot in the room.

Check in was terrible. Came around 6PM, door looked, no checking desk open and four people drinking wine in the hallway. Finally got their attention and a lady came out to get our keys from a looked safety box outside and struggled to get us our keys???Finally got it figured out.Restaurant closed, bar closed because it was Sunday. This is a reason we picked this hotel as they had facility onsite.Not recommended for handicapped people as no elevator and steps are very steepCheck out before 6Am to catch a flight and nobody there to check us out. Got emails about us leaving without paying and finally had to call them two days later to settle the bill.Not recommended at all.

booked for 2 guests and ended up in room with one twin bed with no extra beds available. unable to sleep.

Very nice and cozy place with a great location in the old town, great view from the room window. Delicious breakfast with a good selection. Friendly staff. Pets are allowed for a fee.

The lovely ladies serving breakfast were really great! The room was clean and neat as was the bathroom. The auto check-in was easy and communication about it was clear.

They need to improve communication about things beyond just the auto check-in. There was nobody to tell us where to put our tandem bicycle. Eventually we found a key with instructions (in German) on where to go. We told them in advance that we had a bicycle and they said there was somewhere to park it - but no instructions in English!

Great location on the Rhein bank, in the historical part of the town. Nice old-time building with typical atmosphere. Very good breakfast. Very friendly personell.

Restaurant closes early, but this might be normal in this area. And it was Monday.

Beautiful location on the river. Excellent restaurant for dinner. Big portions. Delicious food. Plus a very good breakfast included.

The room was large and nicely furnished. We had a very nice view of the Rhine outside of our windows.

There was no one at the hotel when we checked in and our code did not work. We were able to get in touch with someone to get our key but it was not a smooth checkin. The next night another family encountered the same problem. The hotel was nearly full over the weekend, so there should have been greater attentiveness on the part of management to checking in guests. Other hotels of comparable price have front desk personnel who meet and assist guests, why not this one?

The hotel is as charming as the village. Our room had a beautiful view of the Rhine River and of Laufenburg, Switzerland

A nice quiet hotel in the very centre of the old town on the German side of Laufenburg. Amazing view of the Rhine river!! A comfortable room with an exceptionally clean bathroom. Small nice details like an electric kettle, tea bags and a complimentary bottle of water. Friendly staff and nice breakfast. The dining room has a wonderful view of the Rhine, I recommend having breakfast on the terrace if it's warm enough. A very good value for money. I definitely recommend it.

I had issues with connecting to the wifi but it worked eventually.
