Pros +
- The people and environment had a very good, friendly and uncomplicated vibe.It was very social and attracted friendly visitors. The bathrooms could be used after check-out and were very clean also in the public parts (!) which seems like a rarity in France.
- We're like at home. The staff were so nice, specially Emma when we arrived after a sweaty and hot day she was so kind to attend us and show us our room and the garage where we saved our bikes. Also we're able to wash our clothes. The dinner were so delicious and tasty. Truites with vegetables and potatoes. And the magret as well. The room was so nice with a little window and the beds with a comfortable pillow. We have the bathroom in the next door. And we've included in the price the breakfast. It was like a fantasy. The croissants and the marmalades were the best of all the options you have. And of course the french fromage. We are so happy to stay here. Thank you very much
- Everything, we had a fantastic stay. Great location, Friendly staff. Fantastic food in restaurant and a lovely breakfast. Would have stayed here for 3 weeks.
Cons -
- I still don't know how to pronounce the place name Boutx ?
- The family room was quite small and a little challenging for 6 nights (with all our ski gear). With limited food options in the St Mourtis area, we found the lack of cooking facilities a challenge.
- Location is great for biking and hiking on top of Col de Menté. Rooms have what is needed for a gite but minimalistic. No towels in the room and no extra toilet paper so if you need you have to ask for it. Service is the real issue there. Upon arrival no time allocated to show room and how things run. During dinner mistakes that occurred (which can happen) were corrected only after lengthy useless discussions. After moving tables and getting our plate, no cutlery, no glasses, no napkins and no time to get it. Somewhere down the road of the years this place must have lost some of it’s charm however we believe the lady in charge can get it back if she wants by delegating more to the young people and concentrating only in overviewing the details.

Beautiful setting. Extremely helpful and welcoming staff. Great restaurant.
The staff were very helpful and made every effort to make our stay a pleasant one. Breakfast was good.

The location is superb, the set up simple but good, food delicious. Especially the morning croissants

The breakfast was really good and the staff were friendly
The room was a bit small
clean room with shared bathrooms with many activities nearby.Park your car and motorbike right in front of the aubergeAs the facility hosts a bar and restaurant you can relax after your day and enjoy drinks and delicious foodThe breakfast is very generous
nothing all was very nice
price, position, service, food, woods near the hotel
no specific problem but low quality furnitures
easy parking, friendly, bar, good food. easy access for ski station
The location is great: high up on a mountain pass.
Where to start? Most of the staff ignored the guests, some staff just sat outside smoking weed. The menu was limited, the food fresh but generally overcooked, which was maybe just as well because hygiene was rather poor (stained cups, sticky tables, dirty floors). The breakfast buffet was not enough for all the guests and was not restocked. General COVID regulations were not respected. The bed was sqeaky and lumpy, the pillows very old. Don't stay here if you don't have to.
Simple rooms in mountain refuge style, small but clean. But the best thing about this place though is the food. Generous helpings of REALLY good food. And lovely friendly staff. We’ve stayed before and will stay … and eat! …. again.
Bathroom door is a curtain. Levels of I fumant bit desire in a marriage!!!!
The breakfast and the location
The shared bathroom - only one toilet and no privacy for showering - and very thin walls between the rooms
Standard tourist hostel. Perfect for a one night stay.
